I want to concur with dr deanna with intermittent fasting. I have been doing it for a couple months. I've lost around 10 pounds. What worked for me i started slow. I started 12 12 and worked my way up to 8 16. Also knowing i get some water from food i drink more water. At first i thought nobody can do this but if you start slowly it's possible. Lastly i take it one day at a time. I don't think in long terms.

Dr Deanna, You don't understand the Low Fat Whole Food Plant Exclusive Diet. The mentioned Diet has been proven by Dr Ornish and Dr Esselstyn to be the only Diet that can reverse Heart Disease. That was proven three decades ago. In the past week Dr Ornish published a peer reviewed and randomized study on the effects on Alzheimers with patients that where put on the mentioned Diet. Amazing results. You Dr Deanna seems not to understand the difference between a junk food based vegan diet from a Whole Food Plant Based Diet that contains NO PROCESSED FOOD! Shame on You Dr Deanna, please study better before talking and publishing and please avoid "opinions".

I'm super excited about this Aisha! I wish this was available 20 years ago :) Thank you for providing a great resource that will free up so much time and ease decision fatigue so many of us have around dinner.

I have been whole food plant based vegan for 5 years and have never been healthier. It is important to make the distinction between refined “carbs” and healthy complex carbohydrates. I eat a very high carb diet, but am in no way deficient in protein or healthy fats. There is a very unhealthy focus on macronutrients in our society. It is doing us a disservice.

I don't know if Dr. Deanna has read much of dr John Sarno materials on TMS. Before he passed away he theorized some of autoimmune diseases could possibly be a form of TMS syndrome. There are people on the internet that claimed their autoimmune condition has been reduced by 90 % using dr sarnos theory. I had three major conditions, though not autoimmune that i completely over came using his techniques.

I love listening to your Podcast. I look forward a new one every week. Many times I'll go back and listen to old ones 3-4 times a week. Disappointed with this weeks podcast. It came across as a sales pitch your daughter was doing. After 20mins I had to turn it off. Maybe it's cause my expectation were off.

Madeline is a very Powerful Healer! My daughter put me on a list and next thing I know I’m telling my friend. I don’t know who it is but someone is healing me!! I was filled with love and light. I could feel light in the center of my chest. It was amazing. There’s so much more to tell about what happened but this is the beginning of it. I felt GODs love for us. I felt so much gratitude and I still do I’m so grateful to Madeline for healing me. All this happened and I had no clue my daughter had done anything at the time. She told me when I told her about the healing.

Most of what you say is acceptable. I question your use of the word carbohydrate. I assume you are familiar with the Glycemic index. The foods that you talk about, like sugar and processed white flours, are fast carbs. Their glucose rapidly enter the blood stream and spikes insulting secretion. Slow carbs take longer to digest, so that lower blood glucose levels are extended over time.. A very good slow carb are beans, which are also high in protein and fiber (I hope you have a good presentation on fiber and the gut). You are a bit too down on grains. Whole wheat is a slow carb. Also, your presentation about insulin resistance leaves out the causes that prevent blood glucose from entering the cell (Not settled science). At least you did not go full Paleo. Thanks for the presentation.

Thanks for your videos Dr Deanna. You are correct the fasting is everything ! I notice when I eat during the 12 hour window of fasting I feel terrible. I am going to cutback on grains. Lastly water is the key a lot of people think they are hungry when in fact they are dehydrated.

One problem I see, is a diet like this sustainable, decades ago a fellow named Nathan pritikin wrote a book with a diet similar to this it didn't go over well let's face it telling someone no more hamburgers unless it's grass fed taste like cardboard, no more French fries, no more pizzas, no dairy, this means no ice cream, no hot dogs. I use To be a long distance runner decades ago, this diet would be like telling the general public go out and run 5 to 8 miles a day, how many people would actually do it ? Just asking ? All one other fact pritikin only lived to be 70.

Hi Deanna, i just listened to this episode and looked up foods that most contain glyphosate. I was shocked! Some of our healthy foods such as almonds, apples and many other 'healthy' foods contain high amounts of glyphosate. What do you recommend when choosing plan approved food but still concerned about glyphosate? Thank you so much!!
