Hey if you see my message could you answer me?!!! My question is very important. I will be buying the 2024 this coming Monday. What is the right thickness of heatsink to use on the M.2 of this gaming laptop? Can I use 2mm up to 6mm? Using a 2 to 6mm thickness of heatsink, will it fit once I close the laptop?
Nice video but can you please tell me the what thermal pad thickness size should i get to cover the GL504GM VRAM and VRM chips? Please help :( need help
Hello can i ask if you can take off the key caps like the other laptop or you need to take off the entire motherboard before you can take the key caps off
Everything was so beautiful until a new layer was applied directly on top of the old thermal paste. I think the old layer could have already partially lost its thermal conductivity, and it is better to have a minimally thick layer of thermal paste, spread over the entire surface - it has poor thermal conductivity, compared to metal. And it should only fill the cavities when the radiator fits tightly to the processor. You can hope that the excess thermal paste will be removed by itself during assembly and operating heating, but I doubt it. In general, thanks for the disassembly video )
if doing this not helped or just temporarily fixes the problem you need to resolder the bottom pins of terminal where it connects to pcb. the soldering might be weak due to oxidation
Thank you so much! It was hard to find this video specific to my Think Pad model! The strangest thing is , is that I also found a small piece of plastic but under my fan! Anyway..now it’s purring around beautifully! Amazing 😊
Can you tell us what is the black tape you sticked at back of keyboard at 14:00 ? I have a replacement keyboard but no tape, want to make sure if it's electrical insulator or head pad or something else ?
