Came here to watch the tank part right as you get around the corner with the helicopter. By far the most ANNOYING section in the whole campaign on veteran. You have to get lucky
I FINALLY completed this damn mission in veteran. Goddamn it was fucking HELL to do it, I died so many times after I blew up the flak guns, but even before that I died a lot. Grenades are just too insane on this mission, and it's hard to avoid 3-4 of them at once. It's like they fall from the sky and not the Nazis are throwing them.
OMG 0:46 i never thought you could climb up there to release it. I remember when i was younger i thought i softlocked the game by not having any explosives on me lol.
The sniping part is absolutely killing me. I had so much trouble seeing them that my checkpoint begins with 5 teams already on the map. I've got 2:30 left on the timer. I got to about 0:24 a couple times but i just can't get to the end. When i'm able to caught up and only have 1 on the map suddenly 3 or 4 will apear in once. It is absolutely ridiculous with only 1? checkpoint. Especially when you f it up. I just spend about 6 hours getting trough the village so i'm definteley nog gonna restart the whole mission. But omg this is frustrating
Can't believe i just got it. After a lot of tries. At one point i got to just 1 of 2 teams max at a time. I think i just got some luck with my comrades just killing a few teams or something. But once all teams where killed i could finally keep up with the new ones coming in. Maybe a bit of luck with my aiming as well. But i made it, in so happy. So for everyone struggling: If i can get it (on the xbox on veteran). About anyone that isn't insanely bad in shooters could get it. Persistence is the key. And also from the checkpoint get a routine and rhythm going for at least the first few teams so you can clear the field as much as possible.
I just beat it 10 minutes ago and I don’t know how to describe the feeling of elation which overtook me now I must finish the last level wish me luck gentlemen
Thanks for showing off that train yard strat. Due to the nature of Veteran difficulty's B.S., there's still some luck involved, but it's the best solution I've seen so far.
I've just completed this mission on veteran difficulty, but yesterday I've been stuck in the first checkpoint of the mission for almost an hour, so I watched this video and I tried again. I don't even know how, but today I reached the next checkpoint and suddenly completed the entire mission in about 40 minutes. WTF happened?!
1:06 : German Soldier 1: Tot stinken sie noch erbärmlicher. Kommt! Lasst uns hier verschwinden, bevor sie nochmal angreifen! (They smell even worse when they're dead. Come on! Let's get out of here before they attack again!) German Soldier 2: Töten wir sie, genau wie diese dreckigen Schweine! (Let's kill them, just like the dirty pigs they are!) German Soldier 3: Was gefunden? (Found something?) German Soldier 2: Nur billigen Plunder, der sie wohl an ihre Heimat erinnern sollte. (Just cheap junk, which was propably supposed to remind them of their homeland.) German Soldier 1: Nein! (No!) German Soldier 1: Du russisches Schwein! Du hättest lieber tot bleiben sollen! (You Russian pig! You were better off staying dead!) German Soldier 3: Was ist da-? (What is tha-?)
Soviets were angry because they want to take back their country and for revenge, Germans were also angry because they couldn't completely capture Stalingrad.
