wee look into some of the fishing i do and places i fish,Im a competition fly angler who is in a couple of fly fishing clubs and fish all over scotland and local as well. My pull to fishing came from hill loch fishing for wild brown trout in and around ayrshire and galloway which has some lovely and fantastic fish ,gorgeous scenery and stunning views
Lovely tying and it certainly seemed to have done the damage the other day. Muddler heads are a nightmare for lots of people to tie. Hopefully your video will remedy that.

Aye there good pal, wee bit heavier than others but I like the air nozel design ,handy. Bought it last year off a pal who was giving up the fishing ,I had the snowbee before the Shakespeare

Canny mind noo Kennedy lol,I always like to take them just incase , sometimes it's a bit much to carry if it's a sore walk ,but if I'm for going with yous on Sunday I might take mines to try ,always gets u out that wee bit further if trout just out a reach fae shite ,floatube would be unbelievable ,but bit much to carry aswell pal
@@garryreiddoonvalleytroutfi218 Definitely. Fishing used to be my thing, no done it for years, spend a lot of time walking in the Galloways, videos like this has inspired me to buy a wee compact #4 set up, even if I just get a cast here and there while oot n aboot, all good.
Big deep loch do I would concentrate on fishing shallow bays or head up top where two rivers come in ,usual traditional patterns work,I had a lot of success on peach tailed cochy ,green Katie,I like pearly bodies early on in season also ,but you will get trout
Was a flat calm yesterday as I passed it and seen plenty fish rising,so there on the feed ,due to weather and mild winter hatches are starting already ,you won't have to go deep to get them either pal
Got couple if wee Scottish wet orders to do ,will start them later,are you on Facebook ,I have a FB group with same name pal,good tiers on page and some lovely patterns
Better walking earlier in the season,there is a pad,but gets lost in the bracken,there's no easy walk to Glen head, fished them for 50 year,used to be really big troot in them,had them 4lb,all the lochs were stocked,they were hit bad with the acid and over fishing ,was up last year,great to see they had made a comeback,nothing big but wild ,great sport with light tackle,pair of divers nested on the round Loch last year,peregrine nested on brae face for years,the biggest troot were in the long Loch, but they are long gone.beautiful place,well worth the effort.
Been meaning to fish them for years Douglas..Sare terrain for walking ..it's no too far ,it's just the holes n sods .big Myrtle ,always struggling to keep on yer feet lol ..but lovely lochs ..round loch was better of the two that day ..stunning wee fish ..cheers
Cheers pal..aye a think the round loch is the better of the two..wind wasn't great ..I think it could be a cracking loch ..I fancy it with floatube ,but that would be a sore walk lol
How long did it take yous to walk there from your car, cracking video 👍 I fish loch doon a few times a year , as I am getting on in years wouldn’t mind a go at these hill lochs if I could manage the walk up.
Sorry pal just seeing your comment,you can drive to within a mile if it if you know the way ,or it will show you on map,if you take forest road for back hill of the bush ,you can park there and walk across,but you need to walk across the silver Flo ,which is the largest bog land in western Europe,can be dangerous if you don't know where to walk ,the Dalmellington and new Galloway ordance survey map is great for finding ways about these wee hill lochs,if you need any more help ,just drop me a comment or mail on Facebook pal
Was up this year first time for a while,great day with the flee,godhead connemara black,wee size 14 Kate McClaren and palmared coch,my favourite fishing ,beautiful marked troot,loved the tube,gid video.
