They should fit fine on the stock rim. The stock rim is 16x6" so 185-195 is ideal and 205 is the maximum width for a 6" rim. The OEM and Sparco Terra rim also have a similar offset as well.
I used superbrightleds.com They don't have as many options for bulbs as they did a few years ago, but it's a U.S. based company with great customer service and a working phone number. (Rant) I've had a few LED companies reach out to me for a promotional RU-vid video, but I had to turn them down because they did not have a phone number or the number they had would just ring and ring. I can't recommend a company to people where I can't get a hold of anybody.
Hey, HF4A! I'm a big fan of the channel! I'm curious if you know anything about newer fits' event data recorder or any other ways that the car might collect driving data. I drive a 2020 LX, and I'm curious how much of my driving data is being tracked, and if it's being sold by Honda to 3rd parties. That could affect my insurance rates down the road (pun intended). I assume if they were going to pull the data, they would probably do it at the dealership during service. Do you have any insight or advice about this about what I could do to keep the data to myself?
I'm glad you brought this up. I'm going to film how to remove the "Cowl" this weekend. I'm sure the garnish wont be that hard or take to long to figure out. I am heading out of town next weekend so it might be two or three weeks before the upload. Thank your for the suggestion.
I've watched just about every available RU-vid videos in English (and Chinese) on taking apart the A-Pillar in Honda Fit/Jazz, and yours is definitely the most instructive of all. I believe the 4th-gen (e:hev) A-Pillar is similar (haven't found any video for that, yet). Guess I will take apart mine to find out! Thank you for pointing the way!
Thank you! It should almost be the exact same process. I've bee told the tab shown at @5:07 maybe different on 2018+ models. The black plastic part was switched to a string? which may be a little different to put back into place. I'm sure you'll be able to figure it out. Good luck!
Here's an older comment explaining what I'm referring too. " To reconnect the top tab, though, my setup is different - I have 2 black squares connected with a thin nylon rope."
It tends to fill up quicker during the winter or in colder climates. I think the warm can causes any humidity in the air to condense and mix-in with the oil. This is why it will look more like chocolate milk in the winter then a dark and oily substance in the summer.
Yes. The OEM rims should hold up to a 205 tire. PLEASE NOTE: You may need to remove the plastic mud flaps behind the front tires for the wheels to turn without rubbing. Everything else clears with no issue.
Hi there. I'm currently on 205/60/16 with almost no rubbing. 205/60/16 is 10 mm larger in diameter then the 215/55/16. Even though your tire suggestion is smaller in diameter, I'm afraid the 215 width would rub on the suspension components. Here is a timestamped video of what you will probably rub against with a wider tire ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TMuQgsflCfo.htmlsi=rUKifd3vd8Txskia&t=620 You would need a hub spacer or a rim with a different offset to make that tire work.
@@HondaFit4Adventure hey do you think can a 35 offset rim done this? I always slow down when I see high bumps, but I'm still worried that the front wheels will rub against the outer fender.. Please help
@@kadiryildiz5909 I think you will be fine going over bumps. It's the turning clearances in the wheel well that I'm concerned about. A decent tire shop should be able to test fit the tire on your rim to confirm that there's no rubbing issues before purchasing.
Thank you for your valuable comments. The original offset is 50 and the rim size is 16x6. I think I've given up on 16 inches. I plan to use a good 205/60 tire on a 15x6.5 rim. When I checked with the calculator, there seems to be no problem except that the wheel is more outward than the original. Now, another question is, will the disc brakes of the car that came with the original 16 inch rim fit on a 15 inch rim?

Thanks for your answer. I guess 215/55/16 doesn't seem like a reasonable option. At best I'll go with 205/50/16. Do you think I'd have any problems with that if I took the plunge and went with 205/55/16?
@@kadiryildiz5909 205/50/16 is close to the stock rim and tire diameter. The only difference would be your offset. I think the OEM offset is 45 while your rim is a 35. That being said, I don't think you will have any issues using a 205/50/16 on a 35 offset rim. For the most part, I think you will be fine with the 205/55/16 tire on a 35 offset rim too. If you're purchasing tires through a big name store, they most likely will test fit the tire on the car first to make sure that it clears everything since it isn't a standard spec tire for the car.
Hi there. The U.S. only has safety inspections in 15 out of the 50 states. The LED bulb is bright, but not blinding. What you are seeing is the reflection off of my garage door which is covered in reflective material for insulation purposes @13:28
@@BecauseJapan NGL, After going on my test drive, I was a bit concerned about not having enough leg room. I felt there needed to be an extra inch or two to stretch out comfortably. Although it was a concern, I still purchased the car and could not be happier. Good Luck!
Hi there. The panel instructions do state not to directly mount it to the roof of vehicles. It needs an air gap underneath the panel for cooling purposes. It's not really shown in this video, but the solar panel is laying on various size sheets of coroplast. This prevents the panel from laying directly on the roofs surface and helps level out the roof for mounting. Some viewers think that sealing the panel around the edges created a "Hot Pocket" of air which caused the tape to fail and will cause the panel to overheat and eventually fail as well. This is not true, at least on this install. I have the battery temperature sensor from the charge controller located underneath the panel so I can monitor the "air pocket temps" The air pocket is at the most 10 degrees hotter then the surface of my car.
@@HondaFit4Adventure maybe the BougeRV panels are different. That’s the ones I’m thinking of because they sell a version with tape on the back of it (presumably to mount on top of the car)

I'm glad you're making it work for you. I tried that in my Yaris and it got uncomfortable after a few months. I'm a side sleeper but the body usually stretches out at various points throughout the night and never being able to stretch out fully got old. Mad props for y'all die hard people. I can't do it. Oh! Just be aware, you're going to cause problems with your neck if you keep it bent up like that. You're seriously stressing your vertebrae at that angle and eventually your discs are going to start bulging, or your bones are going to start growing in weird, "shouldn't be doing that" ways. A few nights a month may be fine but months at a time is going to cause problems.
Are you camping solo or with someone else? Did you try laying diagonally or did you just have a single mattress? I started sleeping the opposite direction with my head towards the trunk. I found it easier to stretch out, even without putting my feet between the seats. I do plan on upgrading to a larger rig, but not until Honda releases a Hybrid Honda Odyssey.
I'm kinda impressed by how well that window screen worked! I ended up attaching some bug screen into the door card and around the seals of the window 😅
I'm surprised how well it worked as well. Especially during the rain. I plan on making my own window vent with a fan. It should look something like this but with some mesh of course subimods.com/products/billetworkz-rear-window-vents-w-grey-mesh-2022-2023-wrx-1?variant=43145369190575¤cy=USD&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADpHzNJd2mLMNl7A9RTJDR-W4kEtG&gclid=CjwKCAjw_4S3BhAAEiwA_64YhqaU9YFDMak1LmsJ1a4gJ2f2rBEYt97Ap1NoNmcUFpt_zsLFsIKZLxoCzPYQAvD_BwE
@@HondaFit4Adventure ohh that's pretty cool! I think that a built in fan will help soo much! I just clipped a fan onto the metal bits of the headrest and it doesn't do much lol. Can't wait to see it!
@@HondaFit4Adventure thank you ! I was literally about to hammer mine in . I'm trying to get my front passenger seat to scoot up more so it'll fold down into a bed like on the 1st gens.
I hit some object on this road this morning and My lower grill was recently dislodged. I found that black plastic thing when I popped out the grille but have no idea how to reinstall it. What purpose does it serve?
I don't recommend this. Carbon monoxide and cabin dioxide will build up in the vehicle. Fire in the car is not a good idea. Better use an electronic alternative, at least.
I have my “good vehicle” which is my truck and my work car/ commuter car which is just an older Honda fit (stock) and I would go to car meets cause I like looking at cars and as a joke would pop my hood like all the cool cars and the amount of dudes who would hype me up…. Bro it’s just a great place
Hi there. I tried to research the correct way to sound deaden a car door before starting this project. It appears that there are several ways to do this depending on what type of sound or vibrations you are trying to get rid of. Personally, I just didn't want to rip, remove, or replace the vapor barrier.
Few problems, your using a burner in an enclosed space! Can’t do it camping so what’s the difference in a car. 2nd of all, the box you have with the burner inside you do know they are designed to be a fire box, fire box has in woodstove! Don’t take this as hate, I like your content, but a few ways to make it better is ‘more communication’. Unless you’re playing a game of ‘who spots it’ 😂😂😂😂 THEN I’m loving your content even more!
Hi there. I do have rain guards on my car. This allows me to have the windows cracked while it's raining and allows for plenty of ventilation while cooking. Yes. The foldable stove is made for wood burning fires, but it is the perfect size to hold a catering candle. The trapezoid shape of the stove also provides a stable base to cook on. Another viewer had suggested to watch the front windshield. The heat from the stove may cause any chips or cracks in the windshield to spider out more. I will have to remember that during the winter months when the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the car is at it's greatest and may cause more of an issue. I recently switched to a jetboil stove and I don't mind criticism as long as its constructive.
I found a way to extend your seat about 2" for free. This helped out a little bit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D_cX5iAHSoY.htmlsi=EE8DZOyoszD9MYo0 I also found some seat risers on Amazon. I'm going to try those out on my next trip.
neat build but I will warn you about using the stove on you steering wheel. if there any type of chip in the windshield the heat can lead to the it cracking . Once had something like this happen to me .
That's an excellent recommendation. I bet it's even more true during the winter months with the extreme temperature difference between the inside and outside the windshield.
In some areas of the country they enforce speed by aircraft. I use a traffic app on my phone which alerts you of nearby aircrafts, but it's mostly filtering through larger commercial air traffic online. The raspberry pi acts as a little transponder and helps pick up the smaller aircrafts. Run the app, and bluetooth connect to the pi. You can look up ADSB flight tracker for similar raspberry pi builds.
Good to see someone else using the Fit for camping. I did 3 months straight camping all over the country in a 2010 Fit, stacking two tempupedics in the back and was mega happy. Had the front passenger seat out as well. Car is at 230k miles now still going good, no mechanical issues.
That is awesome! I would remove the front seat too, but I don't think the wife would approve. lol. These cars will run forever as long as you can find parts for them. Take care and safe travels!
