Legit though they shit the bed with the last few years, they greenlit atrocious tv shows to try and win the streaming wars and released way too many movies without a uniter. The reason the MCU worked is because they would have a limited amount of decent movies before they brought the stories together, those stories would diverge for a few years and some new ones would start but ultimately it all came back together just a few years later. What is the difference this time around? Time and Content. How many films came out before the first avengers movie? 5. What about movies between the rest? 4 before Ultron, 7 before infinity war and 2 before endgame. How many films and tv shows are between EndGame and Doomsday? We already have 24 fucking projects OUT but we have at least another 7 projects confirmed to be coming before Avengers doomsday which means we will have had 31 projects to tie together with a single movie which is more than all the previous 4 avengers movies tied together combined.

I would say it’s obvious that the dialogue was meant to be silly with some seriousness to it obviously with it’s moments which made it a nice blend of for a serial killer character and how the public went along with him blatantly being at odd circumstances to get to where he is. I think you really need to have that in a movie if it held out a more serious tone it might as well went off to make a series. The bathroom scene was just absolutely hilarious when he went on his phone in the stall with the volume up on his victim. It’s a great film, the serial killers actions were kind of sloppy though I guess it’s what you would expect on what could be squeezed into this film.
The film is a representation of evil. Using God fearing people to enter the home on a lil girl's birthday. Then the devil influences them to do horrible things. Next the husband (which is in a biblical standpoint is the head of the household) kills the family. The break down and death of the Christian home. That is evil. Longlegs was an agent of Satan if not possessed by Satan. The movie needs another watch to grasp it, and it's not for everyone.
I subscribed after the first sentence. This is the worst show I have ever seen. Almost fell asleep in every episode but I enjoyed seeing a show lean into the South Park theme while being extra nonsensical
Pretty much feel the same as you do with this one. I think it was a servicable enough summer blockbuster with really good visual effects, but I only cared about Glen Powell's character and didn't find the tornado sequences as thrilling as I had hoped. Great review, dude!
It ends the way it does because the writer/director is using what I like to call the European method of film making. Which is they are not gonna spend ten minutes spoon feeding you the ending, if you don't get it, they aren't explains. Got lost? Keep up.
Greatly filmed nice speech clear and loud my only advice s as an ADVID RU-vid watcher… write a script it comes off as an interview not a commentary and really your a live commentator/storyteller (I’m high) you get what I’m saying but as someone with less than 100 subscriber amazing video 8/10 love the way you’re interacting with us though i subscribed
The costume can be improved with some very extensive CGI. I don’t understand why Gunn thought it was a good idea to have the suit baggy and similar to his Guardians Of The Galaxy suits. It’s also mind blowing that Tyler Hoechlin’s and Rouths’ Superman suits look amazing, even bts. Regardless, I hope it does well on release.

I’m a HUGE movie lover/fanatic especially horror movies and aspiring actress. I’ve already watched 21 new releases in the movie theater this year including Maxxxine which was my most highly anticipated movie of 2024 for a multitude of reasons. I throughly enjoyed it and it’s now in my top five favorite movies of the year thus far along with Dune 2, Bad Boys 4 Ride or Die, Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1 and A Quiet Place Day One. ❤❤❤❤
You make some really good points and especially about a reactionary film to Snyder's Man of Steel. My biggest concern is James Gunn. I'm not a fan of his writing and since he is the head of the studio, who is going to tell him "no" when the time comes? Like when approving costumes? I think it's too soon and I don't think Superman putting on boots was the way to launch this film. My only hope is that WB needs this movie to do better than blockbuster numbers so I'm keeping my fingers crossed they can deliver a quality film that will get them those results. But after the set leaks I'm real nervous.
Honestly, I could not even get through the first 20 minutes of Part 1. For me, you have to captivate me in the first 15 minutes to get that momentum going.
you are so correct with the WB exces being very reactive, remeber the original DCEU slate with the Cyborg movie, Green lantern film and JL Dark? if this film under performs I think WB will change plans again
