as an amateur user living in the EU (no AI in sight) the ultra wide improvement would have been nice on my 15Pro Max, but that's about it. (I upgraded from a 5S!!! to the 15Pro Max at the beginning of 2024 so I'm in it for the long haul)
Awesome interview ♥️ My sister went to school up the street and Marilyn Monroe married Joe Demagio at the Church around the corner. Great food. I’m vegetarian now but miss that fresh cut salami.
I'm not sure I understand the "Facebook doesn't accept HEIF" comment. I've never had an issue taking a photo on the iPhone and uploading to FB. Am I misunderstanding?
One commenter below said that if you e-mail the file to yourself, they get converted to JPG. I didn't do that when I tested--I just AirDropped them to the computer.
I only have a few things enabled in preserve settings, Macro control, Portrait zoom, Live Photo, and Photo Style. I want everything else to be reset to default when I close the camera app. Also Prioritize faster shooting, I have this turned off because I want to have the best image quality possible, if you have it turned on you might lose a little bit of quality because it shoots faster.
You forgot to mention that almost none of the settings at minute 4:33 work for now, don't know if it's an iOS 18 problem or an iPhone 16 problem, but the settings doesn't work as intended, it saves the last setting no matter if you chose to do so or not, at least for Live Photo, Exposure and RAW, which are the ones I tested for now.
@@PhotowalksTV Tested on iPhone 16 Pro and 14 Pro, Live Photo doesn't turn to enabled after restarting the camera, if you minimize it id does of course. Also when Live Photo is on the shutter is muted for some mysterious reason. PS: I have it on video, on your video there is no proof that it works correctly you only mention what it should do.
Actually this is a question. Is it possible to have two or even three libraries? Years ago I read that this could be done but there wasn't a promise of stability (will it be available in years to come.) I just listened to your files, folders, and albums process, but that doesnt always work for me.
Great tutorial, Jefferson. One quick question for now... if I go into the cam control from the button and change the depth or other effects for a photo is there a quick way to restore them to default? Or do I need to go back and return each one manually?
I just opened it, changed F stop to 5.6 in Portrait, took the shot and came back and it was still at 5.6. I suppose you'd want to crank it back up to 2.8 or 2.0 for the next time. That would be default.
I have the 15 pro max and I was wondering if the AI features you mentioned at the end will work in my phone. 🧐 very informative. A must watch video if you are interested in an upgrade Thanks!

Facebook does reformat your HEIC files to JPG when you post them up. No problem. You phone also converts HEIC to JPG when emailing. I shoot HEIC48 exclusively.
I suppose the problem is AirDropping. When I send them from the phone to the computer, I can't post them on Facebook or Substack. My newsletter is hard to write on the phone, and even harder to publish, so I still have to do it on the Mac!
@@PhotowalksTV I use the default iPhone camera app, record in cinematic mode, and when I try to preview the video on phone it doesn’t play. I tried checking the video on the photos and play it there, I also tried forwarding to different parts of the video but it doesn’t play either. If I record regulars videos or slow motion it works fine, I’m only having the issue on cinematic mode. I have not tried transferring the videos to pc or iPad yet.
@@nameofcrispyhello. I have the same issue. Apple support was not helpful and i was about to request for refund. But i managed to find the solution on my own. What you can do is after taking the cinematic video, press that send button on your bottom left side, then cross it then press play again on your video. That’s how it work on mine.
Loved it. Didn't have enough time to devote to a complete Photowalks episode, but I look forward to getting back there sometime within the next few months.
