If someone says Tupac wasn't a lyricist. Then they never broke down one his songs. He was so smooth with his multi syllable use that you can't really even hear it, till you write out his lyrics. That on itself is much harder to do, than ones you clearly hear it happening. Same as talk form of rap, is much harder than melody driven rap. We're not talking about "hits" here, we're talking about lyricism.
