I've taught guitar for 45+ years. I'm totally into teaching because to me it's about learning how to learn. My favorite advice: Best way move ahead on guitar: learn the blues. Leads to jamming, chord knowledge, knowing licks, timing , RHYTHM GUITAR .... Mastering the blues involves getting total flexibility within the form; The Blues is a total Universe within itself; also it can prepare you for developing that flexibility within all kinds of forms and styles. I believe it was the Blues that really turned me into the guitarist/musician that I am right now. Right now this channel will have Blues instructionals , my pieces, instructionals on Theory and a whole boatload of guitar styles. www.joebelmont.com
Thank you Joe that’s a great lesson. I’m not familiar with Daniel Castro, but I believe Tommy Castro does this song also. I liked your rhythm lesson on this song also. Looking forward to see some more of your lesson.
How in the hell you only have 700+ subscribers is what I wanna know???? Great lesson man - natural teacher. Can ya do a solo lesson on the same song ? Thanks man
All I could think while listening and watching your intro was "wow, there's so much soul he's putting into the song." I couldn't look away or stop listening. Then as the lesson goes on you keep adding your own stuff and I couldn't help but grin at how amazing it felt and sounded. You deserve so much more attention and praise.
Hi Joe, it's been great looking at and listening to your videos. Very impressive guitar playing (way beyond my meager skills). I enjoyed sharing Lake Francis with you and hope we will meet again and maybe share a camp fire. Chris and I hope you and Sarita have a great year.
Yeah, I did like that sound. It's the double coil pickup on the neck played straight into that Clean and Brit virtual amp, available in Logic and GB pretty much the exact setting as it opens...with lots of big reverb...Definitely a good sound for me to remember!
