I'm watching because of Chart Music the TOTP podcast which is absolutely brilliant and finally found where the intro bit comes from. "what do you like listening to.... chart music"
I love this song. Took me a minute to find it. This movie is one of my favorites. I absolutely love the chemistry when they are having dinner. Never get tired of watching that part. And this beautiful song is perfect. ❤
This has made my day! I taped it on VHS when it first aired and all my mates ended up borrowing it cos it's hilarious. My band did a cover of his song at Manchester Academy once for a laugh and Mike Joyce from The Smiths was laughing just head off - he knew it too 😂
Won of the great films of '85, of which there were many....Bruce Broughton's score is on par with John Williams. Love this homage to the singular Sherlock Holmes. I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would have approved.
Lmao this was my top track for RU-vid music's 2023 "recap". I found this movie this year and it became my favorite film. Such an amazing soundtrack. I'll never forget 2023
I loved this movie ever since 8th grade when my class went to see it on a field trip. I remember all the kids groaned when they heard the title of the movie we were about to see, but we all ended up enjoying it so much.
PMS, he's phoning the music shop: "I don't know if you know me, I've got a black and white Fender Stratocaster copy and I come in a lot for strings, and that"
I very occasionally wonder where the quaint talking heads, remember when this was a new show, retrospective follow up will ever come to pass...especially as I'll be 50 next year.😀 Still metal though.☺\m/
When I was very young I thought of this piece in the night of the two characters eating Matthew's apparently delicious food (chinese?) with an iconic building, a testament to mankind's singular creativity in the background, as humanity's last stand. If the invasion is discovered that night by the right people it can be eradicated. Otherwise all is lost.
