Mid ship wouldn't be below the buffet. We didn't mind the deck, I was worried at first too. But not an issue on noise for me. There are some large support poles that may impede your view, depending on where you are located, as Deck 15 stretches out more than our deck. That may be the only obstruction on view compared with other decks. Have fun you will love the ship its soooo awesome!
Our Oceanview balcony came to around $4400 CAD with taxes and fees all combined excluding gratuity for 2 of us. This was a promo I found on Expedia, as I am not able to find anything close to it now for this route.
