Just grabbed one used with 1400 hrs on it. Hope it's my answer to a really rough jungle like back yard area that wrecked my craftsman deck and transmission. This things got the Kawasaki engine with i think 26hp? Its the Exmark Lazer Z hp same size as your deck.

That moment of stall during starting is an indication that it needs the valves adjusted. Also I believe that is a 54 inch deck.

The lifters needed adjusted badly!

Is this a 6or12volt system

Stay away from ones with the Honda engine. You have to ruin the plastic engine fan cover to remove the air cleaner to service the carburetor. The air cleaner cover bolts screw into square nuts in the fan cover and when you try to remove the bolts they round out the slots in the fan cover and won't come out. Cutting through the fan cover to hold the nuts from turning is the only way to take it apart. Pure junk!!

Don't buy one with a Honda GXV610 engine. The plastic fan cover prevents the air cleaner from being removed because the nuts in the cover spin while trying to remove the bolts and there's no way to hold them without destroying the cover. The engineers who designed it need their a....s kicked.

I've been trying to find a video on installing/reassembling the blades on this exact mower... I find none at all for this ZTR.. If it was listed under a series, what series would it be??

Hey, How Much Is It ?

Had one of these about 6 years ago, motor blew up eventually. Loved it, amazing machine, far better than today’s exmark. I literally purchased a new gravely ZT HD 60” yesterday and have put 1.9 hours on it so far, I love it, very much up to date compared, but my old exmark Lazer Z HP 46” with the triton and Kawasaki was a beast and the cut quality for the age was better than what you see mostly today.

I bought a brand-new Troy-Bilt zero-turn lawnmower and the engine self-destructed after 25 uses. I found out that they are importing their engines from China. Troy-Bilt customer service was abysmal and they didn't even have parts for a 2-year old mower!

I have one doing the same thing on the left side and the handles are tight like hard to push forward

I got the2023 42” ztx and I absolutely HATE it. Only good thing about it is the Kawasaki engine and the string frame. It throws leave and debris out from under the deck, mostly out the front so it all goes in my face and eyes. I sold my older Gravely that didn’t do that. I’m going to sell it. It’s awful
