Hi, Kit here! I'm just a gal with a passion for nails, clothes, and things that make me feel pretty. Hoping to share some of that passion with you all!
I’m saving the different types of videos that I upload into playlists, so if you’re interested in a specific category (i.e. nails, travel, fashion...), check out my Playlist section. :)
If you don't mind my occasionally babbling, subscribe and follow me on my journey!
Beautiful work. Silly question. Can you put the dried flowers on top of a color gel polish? I'm guessing yes but you will need to add a clear coat to add the flowers then encapsulate them?😊😅
Started subscribing because of this wonderful video. I followed step by step and didn’t ruin my already beautifully shaped almond nails like I usually do trying to shorten them! Thank you for this video😍
Thank you for this video. Are any of you nail colors gel? I'm trying to do the same thing but I have 2 big windows and don't want to ruin my gel polish.
This was really great, I get my nails done every 4 weeks.. by the time I go they have grown so much that they need to be cut. So I recently changed my shape from square to almond shape which I love so much better. I get sns so I always get the polishing soaked off. So just was curious on how my nail tech would shorten them. So this was helpful. Thank you ☺️ for this tutorial
I use one that I got off Amazon: Sunrich UV Gel Nail Lamp 120W LED Nail Light Fast Nail Dryer for Gel Polish Curing with 4 Timers Portable Handle Large Space Automatic Sensor (White) a.co/d/02TSV6w
Definitity agree if using a regular file or an emery board but I’m using a glass file here which is softer and safer for natural nails. I would only do this back and forth filing with a glass file.
What a fantastic idea I never thought of! Applying the base to the nail form as well! My nails are on the flatter/wide side too and I struggle with that gap. I'm betting the base being extended to the form will help prevent the annoying ridge/build up I keep getting under my nails! Excited lol
Thank you! And no, I haven’t noticed yellowing. But I also don’t use all of these brands on a regular basis. I mostly use clears from Mani Boss, All Powdered Up, Virgo & Gem, and Vivid Glam and haven’t experienced any yellowing on those.
Hi! New friend to your channel. I love watching creative nail videos because I too am interested in learning to do unique nails. I mainly do beauty subscription box openings over on my channel but I had to take a break from doing videos to fight triple negative breast cancer this past year. Sadly I lost all my pretty hair, lashes and brows due to strong chemo therapy plus it messed with my nails too so it’s been almost a year since I’ve got to even put a clear coat on my nails. I was so weak and sick from the many months of treatment I wasn’t able to do much of anything but I’m starting to heal and feeling better and thankfully after having a double mastectomy to remove the lump I’m in remission and in the process of breast reconstruction. I have been documenting this past year of my cancer journey and hope to now finally get all those videos edited up into one video and share it on my channel as my comeback video letting my RU-vid friends know what’s been going on. I hope to get that up soon plus get back to doing videos myself now that I’m feeling better and looking more like myself once again. I also hope to add doing nail vids to my channel too and thanks to you along with many other nail creators you all have truly inspired me to do nails. I hope to be as creative and talented as you are at doing nails someday sweet friend. I hope we can chat and connect because I love getting to make new forever friends. Sending love and channel support from the mountains of eastern Kentucky 💙💅🏼
Hi,great video 🙂so just got into building gels & for the first time I’m getting out of biting my nails.Could I ask,is the gel in pots with a separate brush easier & better than in the bottle as I using the gel in a bottle atm xx
Thank you! I started using builder gel on a pot but have since moved on to builder gel in a bottle, which I actually like more! It took me a bit to get used to the bottle but I’ve learned to really wipe the brush on the inside neck of the bottle so I don’t get too much product in the brush. But it’s much easier in terms of cleanup!
@@cindimunoz9455 I don’t use gelly tips so I don’t really have a recommendation there. I find my nails don’t fit tips very well so my nails are usually my natural nails or sometimes I use builder gel to create an extension.
You’re welcome! Yeah, I thought about doing that too but full coverage tips don’t fit very well with my nails, which are naturally more flat. So I thought I would try it this way!
I struggle with form-fitting.From biting my nails for over 30 yrs. One side of the nail grows out either straight but it down further and the other side is up higher and grows up
I didn’t bite my nails but I would pick at them…same result though. My nail beds are pretty short. And my pointer nail is oddly shaped …kinda like yours where one side of lopsided. I envy those who have nice, long nail beds all the time! 😅
I noticed that you have builder gel on before you do the dip powder. I notice that several youtubers do this, but I was wondering why you do the gel as a base coat?
I like to use builder gel under my dip 1) to give my natural nail extra strength when I don’t have dip on and 2) when using peel base on between my builder gel and dip, I’m able to pop the dip off without soaking in acetone. The builder gel underneath remains intact.
I've been trying to use builder gel on my nails for a while but it's not working lol. My last resort is trying to extend them like this. I use a dehydrator and file and then a bonder and a uv lamp for the time it says but it still chips off and I can't really cap the free edge without getting stuff underneath bc my nails are too short :(
Oh thank you for this video. I love the this part 2 of the clear dip challenge. Seeing them like this next to each other really show the difference, especially on dark swatches! I really find your content and tips so helpful!
This really was helpful. I have been using iGel, Mia Secret, revel and sparkle & co since I started. I never realized how revel and S&C are not as clear as others. Can you do an updated video like this? I feel like so many spall businesses launched clears in 2021.
Yay! I’m so happy to hear you found this video helpful! I did actually do a part 2 of the clear tests! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RZ-LWGsKgwM.html
@@MadebyKit Thank you! I watched this one and now I'm happy I have some of these part 2 clears. I really liked the dips over dark because you can really see the "clearness"
I do a lot of travel by plane for my direct sales business, so I love these tips! Packing cubes have become my best friend. One thing I do is pack each outfit together in a gallon Ziploc baggie. I roll the clothes in them, then remove all the air from the bag. I can fit 3-4 of those in each packing cube. Then I have a baggie for the dirty laundry in case I'm in a place that I can't wash clothes while I'm away
