Sir , in khan academy app I learn all rules in grammar but i have old sat sample paper where 66 questions in english, also same as your video but in digital sat specific rules in grammar, i practice them in khan academy and correct 100 percent but in old sat sample paper, it is very different rules specially in punctuations so it is true that grammar in digital sat has fixed rules ,not some common sense rules like old sat
i have done 4 practice tests on blue book (I started at 1110 590 RW 520M, now I am at 1240 670 RW 570M), I'm probably going to run out before exam day, do you still think digital test sites like kaplan tests are a good way to practice ? I really need to work on my math I honestly make silly mistakes on the reading and sometimes not understanding the passage or not knowing vocab. i get about 9 questions wrong on the reading. as for my math really I just need to brush up on my concepts I just don't remember a lot of some of the things its not that they are hard. my goal score is in the 1400 range but I really want to get a 1500 if possible, I believe I can get a very high RW score I just need my math to catch up.
So far, I'd say the most realistic practice tests can be found in Princeton Review. In terms of explaining grammar concepts and reading strategies, I like Erica Meltzer's books, although they need to be adapted more to better reflect the Digital SAT. I'm not sure about math books because I haven't really used them. I'm actually working on a textbook of my own... it probably won't be ready in time for the August 2024 test, but if I manage to release a beta version, I will leave a link here.
That's actually not bad considering that these are among the hardest questions out there, and you'd only get a couple of questions this hard on a real test.
@@ivyleaguementors thank you!! I think the second module of the Reading and Writing Section on the June SAT was really tough (I thought I got a lower score), but the scaling might have helped me get a 770; I probably got 3-5 questions wrong. This was my highest score ever since my best on practice tests was only like a 730, so I am really thankful to College Board for the scaling - first and last time doing the SAT though, definitely done with it
I feel very disappointed with dsat score. I don’t know what I am wrong. I feel like khan acadeny Schoolhouse.world is not enough and I even tried bluebbok practice tests. What should I do ?
It's not just about the resources that you use but how you use them. In my experience, the fastest way to make progress is to look carefully at the mistakes you're making and figure out what is causing you to make them. Was it because you didn't understand the text? If so, why didn't you understand the text? Because you didn't know a key word? Then you need to work on vocab. Because you were rushing? Then you need to work on time management. In addition, look for trends. Are you getting certain question types wrong more often than others? If so, develop strategies to approach those questions and practice them. I have another video where I go into this in more depth: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gRjel1DR3B4.html
One of the math module questions was confusingly worded imo. It was about the probability of picking a certain type of plant or something, given that it is orange. I didn't know whether to assume it is telling me it is orange or to consider the chance of it being orange
@@ivyleaguementorsI got 1520 overall with 780 math and 740 English (an incredible score for me); I wouldn't be surprised if that question was the difference between 780 and 800 because from what I've heard, "given that" is supposed to limit the denominator
I think it was pretty light except for module 2 English which actually cooked me. The math was rlly light tho probably even easier than the practice tests for math.
The reading and writing modules were difficult all throughout. However, the second module of the math was incredibly easy. I believe it was due to many missed questions on the first. Could this be the case?
Yes, you might have got math module 2 (not hard). You can always go for another test and get a better math score (super score) if you don't like your score.
Personally, I thought the June Sat was just like the May Sat, relatively easy. As in not difficult, but similar to prac test 1. In the May Sat I ran out of time on a 5-6 questions and I got a 1300. I feel my performance was better this Sat. However, everyone saying it was hard worries me, and makes me think I got the easy sections. Anxious for the test results to come out, but kinda excited
I felt the same. I didn’t finish a few questions in may and got a 1410. But this test I used my time better and it felt super easy just like in may. I think we both did good
I took it today I think I ate up the module 1 on the reading section but module 2 was challenging as hell. There were like a few questions for math that I straight up had no idea on so just put in a random number so I didn't put nothing, but I think got the most part of it right desmos definitely saved my ass for that math isn't my strong suit. If I don't do well I'll retake it in August.
Am I the only one who felt this test was easier than the practice tests, I attempted a practice test the night before the actual test which was today and I realised I needed to be faster in order to do all the questions and that practice test 6 was hard..the actual test was easier..and math modules were surprisingly easy.. I would say R&W 2 and math 2 were difficult but isnt that normal
bro fr I put down augment though which I think was wrong bc I googled it afterwards and apparently it means increase but they definitely didn't want to increase the uncanny valley effect 😭
Yeah ameliorate was the right answer. I have no idea if that’s what I answered or not but I know I was debating between that and another (I think it was coalesce).
The June SAT's reading module 2 surprised me: It had so many reading questions that were either long or confusing for me, especially those complete the sentence and the graph questions which took me very long to find the answer. I feel like even if I had better time management I would still not have enough time to check other answers back The math section was kinda fun to do however I felt that they gave me a lot of questions that played in words which made it tough but also distracting for me. Overall, the June SAT was really tough on the second module on the Reading section and the Math was tricky for an international student like me Also thank YOU a lot for the advice and lessons!
The 2nd reading module was actually hard I didn't have enough time for it , also for math the 2nd module was mid but there would be questions that are extremely difficult and like it would be my first time encountering them
Module 1 was so easy that I am 100% sure EVERY SINGLE QUESTION went right... Module 2 was so hard in Reading and Writing I was not left with any time to recheck my answer Module 2 Math was not hard but questions and both were loooooooong Anyways, thank you for your tips Expecting 1400+
could you please circle the option in future videos because sometimes i just skip to see if i got it right but then i have to watch a little bit to hear what you say beause you dont cirlce the correct answer
