Wow. I have an AU-717 and it needs the work you've done i took it someplace supposedly well-regarded, spent $300 and i doubt they did anything except lose some screws and steal the internal shields....
You rock! I am retired High-End Audio store owner, and would love to know if you sell these restorations, or how one gets on your list of having their hardware restored by you?????? How does one reach you and your team? Thanks again. Great work.
I think RU-vid's obsession with music copyright infringement is getting out of control, what harm is there to play like 5 -10 seconds of a song. It's not being copied and viewers are not listening to the entire song. This is just absolutely crazy.....
I'm a 68 year old architect for 45 years trying to be the best I can. You put a lot of professionals to shame with your attitude and craftsmanship no matter what the profession is You're incredible. Keep up the good work and thanks for the videos.
Would you recommend I keep or return a CX-1 that works but arrived with damage to the front plate? Could the scratches be repaired? It was a good price and the seller has offered to fund a repair unless its too costly.
I just found your channel and started binge watching. I couldn't figure out why this amp has only 2 filter caps. The smarties at Technics used one transformer for the positive rail and the one for the negative. Nice vids.. keep em coming.. thx
Do not listen to anybody, do what you like or can..😊 They can go back to watch 15sec TikTok videos.. 😅 Amazing job! Just subbed! 🎉❤ Can I ask which camera model you use? Very nice autofocus and video quality.. 😮
If you were to recommend among the HK 770, the Sanyo P55, and the Technics SE-A7 - power output aside - which do you consider the most restoration friendly and which did you like the most when all was done? Thanks!
Definitely the SE-A7. It’s really a wonderful sounding and performing amplifier. I still use one in my reference system to this day. The hk770 is dead simple and incredibly easy to service, but the SE-A7 is still fairly straightforward.
This was a fantastic restoration. I loved every minute of it. I watch a lot of audio restoration channels but this has to be my favorite video. Please keep them coming.
Great! Love the power cable and interconnects... Wiring looms - use thread to bind, looks wonderful, zip ties are very "industrial". I get a lot of grief for soldering and not crimping, but you've proved a point here. Testing - use a reactive load (speaker coil), this makes a difference compared to straight resistive, or at least a range of resistances - 2-16ohm. These older amps are wonderful and respect to the owner. Loved watching this, well done!
