Wish i wouldve watched your video more throughly before i bought the grille and emblem to do this! Lol almost half way through. Its way more to do than i thought there was.
Lol yeah bro it is quite a job to do this switch, and I have never seen any videos of anybody else doing this swap at the time I was doing mine, and I was informed prior of what needed to be done, but no instructions no videos at all. I hope mine has helped you in any kind of way.
@samln5019 ya your video helped. The old credit card pieces in the clips was a good idea. Like you said in the video. "You gotta really want this grille in your car" .
Dope video bro I have the 2012 cls 63 and I ordered the gt style grill but it didn’t fit . By any chance do you know where I could find one that’d fits the 2012 version
just did my cls550. all black black emblem painted the wire with black rust protectant paint. thank you so much for the video i've literally watched this 10 times!!!! FYI it's a WHOLE DAY JOB. make sure you have someone to help you put the bumper back on... i started around 5PM finished just now roughly midnight here. WORTH it if you have patience and take your time.
Hey that is awesome, look to see a video of your ride, You are very welcome! I'm glad it helped you. At the time I did mines there was no videos at all, only to remove and replace the bumper. Yes it's a whole day adventure and some! And I had no help at the time, but just take your time. Yes definitely worth it! Congrats bud! Cheers!🍻
Hello, It was a little over 3 years ago, I totally forgot the seller, I will try to see if the history is still there, and get back to you, or just ask each seller about that tab feature before you buy, but yeah RW is expensive, but great quality though.
Hi great video but need help on finding the eBay seller for this exact defuser with the tabs for my CLS550 2013, can you tell me the name of supplier please ?
Hello, Thanks so much, It was a little over 3 years ago, I totally forgot the seller, I will try to see if the history is still there, and get back to you, or just ask each seller about that tab feature before you buy.
Cool video, I thought about doing this as well, but I think I'll just stick with my K&N filters on the stock housing, But check out my video I did a few years ago on the material intake tubes replacememt. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lYZqOLVxQtM.htmlsi=IM8z0TXQnsdpK_Kb
Thank you as well! just make sure you inspect everything before installing. Make sure your diffuser has those installation alignment tabs, I heard that some diffusers don't, and just take your time with it, feel free to ask any questions.
I work at a Nissan. I've been in the process myself of watching what comes in for service every day. And if any Titan XD's come in for a brake job i'm immediately over to the tech who's doing it and asking them to set aside the old rotors for me since they just get chucked in the metal bin after. The titan XD's use a real chunky rotor so trying to do the same with those. Grind them down clean, paint them with something chip resistent. Gym equipment is so expensive now. Want to make my own plates, bench with attachment, and a deadlift/squat rack. Although I need to find metals elsewhere to make the latter 2. I don't like public gyms, or the cost of modern weights. So going to try and build my own place to pump some weight.
That's cool bro! yes indeed! Gym equipment has ramped up prices and during the height of Covid you couldn't find simple gym equipment everything was sold out! so that was when I made those plates, also the wrecking yards is a good place to find some plates as well and are cheap! I like to find all different sizes to have a variety of pounds to lift, Like yourself I don't like public gyms either, and don't have to worry about traveling to one, But yeah bro, get your weight on! all the best!
Thanks so much, I no longer have the links, it's been almost 2 years now, sorry, You can try google search, I'm sure there will be a some sellers that come up.
My experience is still as it was on day one, I am very happy with the unit and never had any problems with it thankfully! it works perfect! there are still a lot of bells and whistles I haven't used yet, The only thing I wish I'd mentioned in my video is to upgrade the hardware that it comes with during installation because it's such cheesy screws and metal fasteners, And the moment I hit a bump in the road the screen becomes loose and wiggley. Also I do wish there was a way I can watch Netflix, Tubi, and Pluto channel apps through the unit, unfortunately that is disabled and would need "magic box" to do so, you can listen to the audio throughout the car from the movie playing through your phone's app but not watch the video on the big screen, so I want to figure out an inexpensive a way to view those apps and movies. What issues are these guys having?
@@zamzamar9376 Yeah it does take a second or two in audio switching with auto mode, But for me it never gets hungup in one mode. One thing I did notice there are different brand makers of these 10.25 screens being sold out there from overseas so that may be a factor plus keep in mind these are not OEM units they are aftermarket so that's another thing to consider when Integrating these units with mercedes audio system.
Bro the build is fire asf you’re an inspiration bro frfr I just got my 14’ CLS550 about a week ago and I wanna mod it but I noticed that there isn’t a lot videos or info on these models which is sad because they are truly underrated lmao I wanna make content with mine too but I just wanna say I appreciate you showing your journey with the build broski🤞💯
Thank you so much Jose, You're so correct! there's not a lot of content on the CLS here on you tube that dives deeper in what can be done to them, and I wanted to contribute to that and not just show and end result but also the journey getting there.👍
@@theawaknd Sorry I don't have any links, it was almost two years ago.. But you can just Google for whatever part you're looking for and search for best prices that works for you.
Hey Stephen I have not used the navigation speaker much at all time I mostly use my iPhone google app map, but I will check that out and see how it sounds with my iPhone next time I drive, But I strongly believe the my nav audio plays just the same as the music does for my phone. If that answers your question? Thanks
I don't remember my actual seller lol, but there are many sellers on Amazon and eBay just do a Search🔍 or Google it and look for the best quality, price, color, and fitment for your particular model and year
@@slanina1 Very well even after having All the tunes done to it, you just got to stay on top of maintenance, change the spark plugs, use the best brand gas, oil changes, etc.. and the car will still remain totally reliable, Even though it's my daily driver I don't drive it daily, Because I work from home mostly, and not a far drive to the office.
When I'm cruising local streets it's not bad with windows up or down!, I hear it a little when I'm on the highway, but still not too bad, I'm always bumping my music, just still fun to drive! love the sound, speed, power, I don't even pay much attention to it.
Hey man I saw your other video when you where making the grill. You think it's possible to do something along lines of using the mesh like you did without the new grill on top. Trying to figure out what I would need to do to make it solid all the way across so it's lableless then adding old school star on the hood.
Are you saying that you want make the entire grill area using only a mesh screen and no star on it? I believe it is possible but I wouldn't recommend the mesh screen that I use to protect for rock chips because it's just not a strong enough or thick enough mesh gauge, But yeah it is possible maybe with something stronger.. Let's say you remove the existing stock grill and you have the big opening take a nice size piece of cardboard and make a template from the inside of the bumper and cut out slightly bigger than the grill opening use that template on your desired mesh screen, The way to attach it is something you may have to figure out maybe some hidden zip ties or rivets or something like that..
Thanks so much bro, I'm pretty much done with the car, without trying to overdo it, It's much more fun to drive with lots of additional power. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.
@@samln5019 jusbwondering bro i got 98 thousand miles on it do you think a rune would be safe also do youbget a rattle/ticking on start up sometime that last for a few seconds?
@@starentveveo I recommend getting a regular tune-up first with fresh set of spark plugs, check all coils and fluid lines etc.. before getting a ecu tune, I don't get any rattle or ticking, maybe Check oil level and timing chain for that possibly? I hear that some cars do that normally because there's no oil in the engine on a cold start.
That's because it's not a ceramic rotor! it's cast-iron, and I painted truck bed coating on it as I mentioned in my video, for gripping and handling like a real weight plate, Thanks for watching.
How does this compare to the rear bumper chrome trim and tailpipes cuz I did those and they were annoying but managable in 15 min each, would u say this is harder?
I'll try to do one as soon as I can and will let you know when it's posted. I hate that RU-vid removed their private messaging feature, I would just email you pics.
