Our hot tub installing person recommended this video. Thanks for recording it, but I have a question. What is filter one and filter two? I know I can set different times for filter one and filter two but are those actually one filter running time and then the second filter running time? Or is it simply schedule one and schedule two meaning no matter what the settings are and both filters are always running when I set them. I'm concerned about the second filter being turned off is an issue? Am I misinterpreting these settings?
I had that error message when refilling tub which was caused by an airlock. I removed the filter, placed my submersible pump in the tub and put the outlet hose into the hole where the filter screws in. Cleared it on about one second. 😊 I had heard you might be able to use a hose with a strong enough flow or try to plung water through the filter hole by turning the filter upside down and plunging. I tried those but only was successful with my submersible.
Thank you. I'm not sure how I got into a setting where the max temp was restricted; I think I hit the LIGHT button too soon after hitting one of the temperature buttons or something, Turning off the power then turning it back on did not re-set this. Found your video and was able to get it back after a few tries. It wasn't clear to me at 0:22 in your video if you are hitting WARM and LIGHT simultaneously, or if you hit and release the WARM button then hit the LIGHT button, or if you hit and hold the WARM button, then hit the LIGHT button and release. At any rate, after trying it a few different ways I eventually stumbled upon it.
This control board is a joke. Had spa for six weeks. Called the service department at the dealer in St. Louis about how this control has a mind of its own. Service, which gets an A+ for servicing a D+ hot tub, told me this is the biggest complaint from their customers and there is no solution. When I explained this control has a mind of its own…..pumps go on, go off, lights go on and off, they told me that any drop of water that hits this control, the control thinks it’s you. My wife and I sit there with the pumps on an almost laugh watching this thing respond to drops of water. Also, I told service that sometimes I can’t turn the pumps off. They explained that the controls don’t like wet hands. At this point all I can do is warn people not to buy this crap.
OMG! Thank you so much! I could find nothing in the owner's manual that addressed how to unlock the spa (I don't even know how I locked it in the first place!).
Please do a video for Winter settings ! I was told to run my tub for 6-8 hours only, as it only needs to (because factory setting is 24 hours). Do I just do this on opposite??
Hi. I appreciate your videos. They really helped me out! But there’s another problem. My spa heater works, but the temp keeps lowering back down so it’s not maintaining the desired temp. Can you please help me? Much appreciated.
So, I love this video! It was extremely helpful for changing my settings for the summer. I just assumed there would be a video to change it back, but when the cool weather hit, I couldn’t find the video to reverse it. From the comments here, I am not the only one. I went back and rewatched this video to see what the settings were BEFORE Zachary changed them. I assume those are the non- summer settings. They are: filter 1 - on at 8:00 am for a duration of 12 hours, filter 2 - on at 8:00 pm for a duration of 12 hours. Hope that is right! 😅
I finally got through to my Tropic Seas Spa Dealer service department. They agreed that regular settings are Filter 1 for 12 hours, from 8am to 8pm, and Filter 2 for 12 hours, 8pm to 8am.
The tech I spoke to where I bought mine said it’s factory set to run 24 hrs!! Our electric bill doubled!!!! He then said I only needed to run it for 6-8 hours a day and that it would save us on both electric AND chemical filters etc.
for some reason the temperature of my spa is stuck at 101l even when i change it down, (it goes down on flashing screen) but still on 101 . any idea how to lower the temp. thank you in advance
Thank you for this video! In this example when we shut Filter 2 isn't it then always off? Why do we set it for 16 hrs if it's off? Also is it possible to post a Winter mode for those of us that want to switch it back? Thank you!
What do I do to go back to winter hours? I watched your video & set hours for summer. Now do I leave the same hours as summer but have filter 2 to “on” ?
Nothing, my rip spa does not allow for filtration settings. It runs 24/7 both filters. Just set the temperature lower because it filtering alone with warm or hot summer temps will run the temperature up way high
