This is a great tutorial. Very comprehensive, doesn't jump all over the place. You clearly know what you're talking about and comfortable enough with the program to not constantly be stumbling over yourself. Great stuff! Thanks for the help.
Just completed the tutorial in UE5. Quick question for whoever may be lurking through the comments: Whenever I edit a blueprint, the engine places anywhere from one to a dozen instances of that blueprint randomly in the world. For example, when I edited the coin to update the HUD and went back to the level tab, suddenly I went from having ONE coin to a couple dozen strewn about. If you click "play," they disappear and only the real one remains ... but once you hit "esc" to go back to editing they reappear. I've just been deleting these ghost objects as they pop up, but in the most recent occurrence I found that they all vanished when I did File>Save All. Anyone know if this is a glitch or some intended feature I can't figure out? :p
Its on purpose. This is a corse selller s c a mm. If you dont know how this one works. TLDR is the only purpose of this video is to make you click on the Corse seller link in the discription. This will take you to a landing page where the true sc m begins. In the past these videos would be removed from the algo via dislike but youtube removed dislikes. Allowing guys like this to prey on people interested in indie dev.
ehy great video, just having only one issue: my spawner arrow component is not turning along with the player model when im using wasd, but it is when im using mouse input, how can i fix this?

He will never answer you this is a corse seller con. If you dont know how this one works. TLDR is the only purpose of this video is to make you click on the sales link in the description. That's where the con truely starts
Thanks! Using this method, can you Package / Rebuild just small slight changes and rather than doing a full rebuild, it just rebuilds those small changes? What I mean is, if the build takes an hour, then I make one slight change, does it have to fully rebuild for a full hour again?
Note for myself (and for others) at 1:00:11 also if you want to stop looping the death animation if you keep shooting the enemy then inside the BP_EnemyBase create a Boolean variable (i name it IsDead) and right after Death Event i'll set it to True. After that right at the beginning of the Event AnyDamage create a branch that have the condition IsDead and continue your logic from your False branch. The True branch should be left empty
im using ue5.03 and it recently updated but i When i try export my game i always get an "error cooked failed" message i havent changed any settings any advice
I dont understand the 3500 likes on 127,000 views,. it should be much more. I mean, this tutorial was fun to watch and to learn, while you debug stuff with us, which is a big plus because you try things and we see it. so we know what to do and not to do. Hope to get more tutorial like this one, debugging a single player into multi player.
will never happen this is a standard course seller con. Only reason this exists is to drive traffic to the sales link in the description. Im responding to you 3 months later te remind you to watch out for this stuff. Its a very trending con. Becouse youtube removed the dislike button awhile ago. These things dont get erased by the algorithm and draw in unreal engine interested. viewers as they appear on top of all unreal engine search's. The videos are useless though. They are either outdated or skip info on purpose. That info is either covered in the con artists book/course. Or was never functional to begin with and was an attempt at building creditability. since the video can not be down voted anymore.

For updating the coin HUD, if I try to do it in BP_Coin by creating an run on owning client event and updating UI with it, even though it is updating the ui but i still accessed none errors. How is doing it in the coin blueprint different from doing it in the player controller? Thanks
