What's even crazier is that there is ANOTHER mode that's like a single player mode where you walk around on the boards and complete task for the characters across the boards and play minigames for mini stars. Ya this game is full of stuff! You can find more on the website too!
I'm hoping so. It's near the board area so I feel like it is... But knowing Nintendo would they really do secret boards anymore? It's not 2000's anymore where they were fun.
i beat the game just how it said the trophy’s popped then i turned on my internet and i still have the trophy images but no trophy’s were actually awarded to my account. anyone having this issue, any fixes?
I seriously dislike how ppl will get mad over stuff for almost no reason I understand how they are extremely similar there but they are based off real animals and they got mad bc the design is similar like dude ofc it'd Similar THEY HAD THE SAME DESIGN IDEA and ye a lot was stolen but a lawsuit is immature just talk it out instead of getting pissed and suing

One final thing just to p*** off all the Pokémon fans here and the dude in charge of the channel I actually looked up all the patents it turns out the only patents that Pokémon actually has is to game design which I also double check the idea of how the international monopoly laws work turns out you can't actually trademark or patent the concepts of game design such as fast travel does it if you can Patten the creature itself and the design there of but you cannot patent things like fast travel, summoning a mount, elemental attacks, special attack, physical attack, defense special, defense, HP whatever, you cannot patent any of these so unless pokemon has few pans that aren't publicly known which actually violates patents in general they have to be publicly accessible This means there's a huge problem on where this could actually backlash where it turns out, were not properly lawfully suing or defending patents, see that's the problem you have if you're not doing this properly and through the proper protocols you will actually suffer this thing called repercussions which means pokemon could end up having to drop the case potentially even repay pocketpair there money that they had to spend on the trial or even potentially damages at which point all pocketpair has to is move over here to the United States you know hang out with Microsoft and yeah that point pokemon can't touch him
The funniest thing is that Palworld's popularity immensely dropped off 7 months after release and then Nintendo sues. And everyone who is glazing over Palworld's developers, all of their games were asset flips and Palworld started off as a fake game. Palworld itself is just Valheim with bootleg Pokémon and generic guns. The novelty wore off after a week.
Even if you were right and you're not, in an ideal world, if you suck so hard that another company can make an imitation of your game and be more popular than you, then you don't deserve exclusive use of your IP anymore. What happened to competition? If other companies could make Pokemon, we'd already have incredible, amazing Pokemon games. Modern Pokemon is mediocre garbage. It looks like something a little 18 year old hashed out in their very first video game course where the code was provided by the teacher and all they had to really do was slap some lousy art assets in. If Gamefreak was doing what it was SUPPOSED to be doing we would not even be having this conversation, NO ONE would care about Palworld cause Pokemon would be incredible graphically, have innovative gameplay that sticks close enough to its core that the fanbase loves, and just be a good game.
@@aerrae5608 I can't agree to you kind of agree with you on a point but the problem being at the end of the day because they're both based in Japan I'm just gonna say look up the bare minimum of copyright laws in Japan and yeah as long as it's maintained for at least once every 20 years you basically can own a person in Japan and they have no legal right to defend themselves not quite slavery but d*** near, To the point where Nintendo has actively sued other companies for something as simple as a joystick on a screen surface I'm dead serious this was something they sued a company for, The biggest thing out of all this though I doubt they're going to be able to financially cripple pocket pair enough to stop them from saying coming to America at which point all they have to do is set app their system through the American legal system and they are basically fine like they could literally take the game ported as long as there's no like complete destruction of it hell at that point all they do is don't release in Japan make it unavailable in Japan which then they can really re-release palworld and there's nothing anyone can do about it
@@xaviergould8747 Japan is a pitifully sized market anyways. If Nintendo wins they will doom themselves cause angry Palworld fans will find ANY way to give pocketpair more money. Nintendo cannot win no matter what they do. Japan has no market power. Anime has already become world wide, they can't control it anymore, not the well known ones at least. If Nintendo wins, I'll buy 10 copies of Palworld for anyone, I'll buy ANY DLC they make, and I'll give them as much as my money as possible. Because Pokemon sucks and it's Nintendo's fault for not pimp slapping Gamfreak into shape.
Damn I hope Nintendo doesn't win purely because of more shitty legal precedence being set, not that I would expect someone just swallowing Nintendo's boot would understand. The last thing the company needs is more of ego boost till it thinks it's Disney.
Yes, a lot of designs look too similar to Pokemon. No, that has no relevance to the lawsuit. This is a patent lawsuit. There’s likely some mechanic that’s too similar to Pokemon’s. You also debate that Palworld lacks originality when it’s done nothing but iterate on Pokemon’s ideas by including elements of survival, tycoons, and real-time combat. I recommend deleting this video and making an updated one with more research and less bias, because man, this one’s a stinker.
Couldn’t agree more. I’m a diehard Pokemon fan and even I think this guy is working in bad faith. Palworld shows a lot more promise than current Pokemon games and I think this guy is baiting people. He even has a follow up video trying to stoke the flames more. I wouldn’t bother watching this guy’s stuff anymore. He’s like Verlisify trying to get rage clicks.
My point of stating that, was that the creators of Palworld couldn't be more original and had to take so many elements from Nintendo IPs which objectively lacks creativity on their part. I mean just the Pals mechanics with how you catch them in a ball and how the catching mechanic looks with the ball shaking and either being successful or not, having to fight them, throwing them out of your ball to fight alongside you, of course as I mentioned the clear copying of how similar many Pals look to Pokemon, I mean c'mon, I think you're the one with a bias towards Palworld on this one, my friend. Nintendo wouldn't pursue a lawsuit if they had no grounds for it. That alone proves that there most certainly are infringements, and the game devs of Palworld just come across as lazy.
It's not about what has promise or not. It's not about opinion (my OPINION is that I would hope Pokemon would be more than it has been and even performance issues alone has been a serious problem), it's about stating objective facts (like it or not, the Palworld devs were lazy and lifted a lot from Nintendo IPs instead of trying to be more original and create something more uniquely individual). Also, your comment proves you've never seen my stuff before, because I do not bait for rage clicks, that is just a stupid thing for you to say. Just because you disagree with me, does not mean that is what I am doing. Get a grip. Most of my Channel is merely Nintendo News and Guides. This was News that I presented with the fact that Nintendo has a track record of winning these lawsuits (because it is their legal right, like it or not), and that Palworld HAS taken A LOT from Nintendo IPs that are WAY too similar in many ways. Like honestly, how on earth am I baiting when the title and thumbnail are simply what is being reported, which is that NINTENDO IS SUING THE PALWORLD CREATORS? Like, do you actually think before you type, man?
@@JSkeletonNintendo I’m not arguing that Nintendo has no legal grounds for this lawsuit. I’m saying it’s not fair to dismiss Palworld as completely unoriginal. Yes, you’re right, it DOES do a lot like Pokemon… while also doing a hundred other things that Pokemon doesn’t. Again, real-time combat, survival, and tycoon elements are what help separate it from Pokemon despite their commonalities. By your logic, Pokemon is a ripoff of Shin Megami Tensei because they’re both about finding creatures and taking them to use for battle. Nothing is truly 100% original. Persona lifted from Final Fantasy lifted from Dragon Quest lifted from Dungeons and Dragons. If Nintendo didn’t legally have a patent for their mechanics, you wouldn’t feel this way. I’m sure you understand the basic concepts of inspiration and iteration. Palworld is exactly that while admittedly flying too close to the sun in some aspects. You’re allowed to acknowledge what Palworld does right while thinking it overstepped in some ways. It’s not healthy to view everything as black and white.
@@JSkeletonNintendo Well when you respond to people with “Cope” when they make valid arguments, it gives it all away. It’s the oldest troll trick in the book. Verlisify does the same thing to get views and engagement. You’re just like him.
What people don't get is that if Nintendo wins this sets a dangerous precedence. That means gaming companies can sue over mechanics of any type. Shooting a gun, Throwing a spear, capturing monsters, etc. This is less about patent infringement and about the fact They will make a dangerous fad where mechanics in videogames can never be improved and used ever. #SaveThePals
Do what you will. "The way you're carrying yourself" Lol. I mean, so sorry you feel offended by 1. Me defending myself from trolls who try to discredit what I say and 2. By stating the whether someone likes Palworld or not, the objective facts are that they absolutely lacked uniqueness and creativity and copied a TON from Nintendo making their game pretty unoriginal in many ways, while SOME limited originality in other ways.
@@JSkeletonNintendo If "trolls" is what you want to call people stating their opinion in the comment section on a controversial subject, then by all means.
LOL no, not stating their opinion. Trolls are people who have nothing valuable to contribute to a civil convo besides "you're just a dumb biased fanboy." Do you think before you type?
@@sear9993he's very sensitive I found I've been pissing him and his fans off for the last 12 hours, it's been kinda fun they don't even know about the international monopoly laws that stop people from legally trademarking and patenting basic design concepts lol
Im rooting for palworld soley because of how greedy Nintendo has been, stomping out mods, fangames, nintendo deserves a parody game about one of their ips to get big. And at 8:00 you say they have a legendary track record as if its a good thing nintendo stomps out nearly everything made by the fans. Palworld was karma for being a greedy company.
How does protecting their own IPs and implementing rules that are their right, make them "greedy"? You may dislike it, but it doesn't make them "greedy" I mean, if they were greedy as you say, their business practices would be more akin to the majority of the rest of the gaming industry who has sacrificed fun, wholesome, creative ingenuity for $$$ (not the Devs fault often times, as most of other companies are run by suits that are out of touch with gamers and gaming in general but nonetheless).
@@JSkeletonNintendo Ah so Nintendo did not resell retro games on every new console with a digital store? Oh yes and of course Nintendo online is still totally free right? Wait... Oh oh I know! You can still use the GTS to freely trade and battle anyone in Pokemon whenever you wa-... Nope. Oh man, I don't think they're that benevolent chief.
2:28 "And listen You gotta resepct that" No you dont, its a multi million dollar company witha history of stomping on its own fandom when itncomes to mods and fangames, im rooting for palworld soley so Nintendo can lose.
It doesn't matter if it's a starter company or a multi-million dollar company, they have the rights to protect their IPs; doesn't matter if you like or dislike that, the fact of the matter is it IS their right.
I will say some are a bit of parody and similar animals, but alot are still unique. It should go without saying Nintendo doesn't own the trademark on animals (wolves), or religious religions (annubis, and the norse deer). But yeah the Garchomp, eevee, luxray, cinderace, the one with with primarinas exact hair model, Mewtwo, and other examples are way too close i will admit. It does make me upset seeing people say things like the grass squirrels and jolthog are ripping off pokemon just because Pokemon already used those animals. Similar with Lucario and Anubis being jackels based off the Egyptian god Anubis, though i guss the fighting style and movement is similar.
LOL I'm a hater? hahaha. Cope buddy. What makes me a hater? Defending myself from trolls? Stating objective truths about the game that they absolutely lifted a ton from Nintendo IPs instead of focusing on being more unique? Sheesh. Get a grip man, it ain't that serious. Some of you are acting like I just dissed your Mom or something with this game. You can like it if you want, I could care less. But fact of the matter is they still ripped a lot from Nintendo IPs and Nintendo has the right to pursue them legally whether you like it or not. It's not about my opinion because my opinion one way or the other does not change the facts of the matter, just like anyone else's opinion does not change anything.
4:12 you literally admit to palworld just using the similar idea and giving people what they want thats just a company closing in on a market thats how cod and other games came to be the only difference is that Nintendo has the money and influence to be assholes and destroy any competitors before they get off the ground, and heres the thing this isn't going to take long for the anti monopoly laws and agreements to look at Nintendo and tell them to back up
@@superretrou6776 your calling people casuals when your talking about a game made for children my dude just because your playing a popular game doesn't make it darksouls or anything speaking of which that's a good rpg
Dude, Nintendo posted publicly that they were aware of people's complaints about Palworld like immediately after Palworld came out. They knew when it came out that none of the Palworld designs infringed on Nintendo. The lawsuit isn't even about the designs.
Designs were a point of the fact that the creators of Palworld lifted a lot from Nintendo, some that has legal warrant and some that does not. The point being, the creators should have tried to come up with something a bit more original, than trying to take so many 1 for 1 ideas from Nintendo.
LOL You're the fanboy here (of Palworld). If Nintendo didn't have a case, they wouldn't be pursuing it. The fact they DO have a case, proves that Palworld has overstepped, and the fact is, Palworld objectively lacks much individuality and uniqueness and rips off so much from Pokemon and Breath of the Wild. Cope harder.
@@JSkeletonNintendo PCGGC is correct, your view is obiously subjective. Repeating "Cope Harder" will fail you and all of your followers, turn it around and do better. Ninetendo needs to think about their audience more and not just their audience's wallets or who they try to sue.
I see nothing stated to prove my view is subjective. This is not about liking or disliking the game, you're free to drool over the game if you want to. My point is the fact they lacked a lot of originality, I mean that's just objectively true. They lifted so much from Nintendo IPs it's crazy. The ONLY reason this game was such a hit, is because it was in the direction of what people wanted from modern Pokemon.
@@JSkeletonNintendo buddy buddy, no need to be mad about being a fanboy, there are medical treatments out there that can help yo-ACTUALLY, your hopeless owo
You can't trademark the idea of elemental animals that mimic the looks of real-world animals. That's stupid. I don't agree at all that "palworld lacks creativity". Palworld is just as creative with their designs as Pokemon.
@@JSkeletonNintendo You objectively can't be objective about this subject. Sure, there ARE pals that look like Pokemon, but I don't think any of them look similar enough to warrant a lawsuit. Even if they did, though it might not be legal, it sure as hell is moral since Nintendo is such a greedy company. That being said, I have my opinion and you have yours. And judging by the like to dislike ratio, mine is the more popular one.
1. The lawsuit isn't about Pals looking like Pokemon, my point in stating that is the fact that the creators lack originality and unique creativity; that said, there are COUNTLESS Pals that look VERY CLOSE to Pokemon and you'd have to be blind to say otherwise. 2. Nintendo has patents (which is what this lawsuit is about), as well as other things such as copyrights, trademarks, etc. and they have full right to protect those ownerships however they see fit from a legal standpoint, whether you like that or not. Popular opinion does not equate to objectivity btw. People are mad because they so badly want what Nintendo has not made, and because they want it so bad, they don't care if another game it does infringe on the rights of another company (Nintendo in this case) and are angry at anyone standing in the way of that. Same thing with when Nintendo shut down mods and shutdown tournaments that were not official; Nintendo had the RIGHT to do that, and people were all mad about it. I'm not even stating whether I agree or disagree, I'm merely stating it IS OBJECTIVELY Nintendo's RIGHT to do these things WHETHER people like it or not. You can't even logically explain HOW Nintendo is greedy besides you spewing all this anger at the fact they shut down things you liked. That doesn't make them greedy, that just means they want to control what they create and what belongs to them which is in their rights. There are PLENTY of immensely greedy companies in the gaming industry, and Nintendo has been one of the few who have been the opposite of what we've often seen in the industry. Like man, when Iwata was still President of Nintendo, he even took a pay cut so he could avoid letting employees go, and yet you can't open social media now days without seeing all these companies (Bungie, RIOT, PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) talking about the hundreds to THOUSANDS of employees they're laying off.
@@JSkeletonNintendo Whether or not it is objective that Nintendo has the right to take down Palworld is a decision for the courts to make. Nintendo took down about 20 years-worth of mods on GMod. Surely some dinky little mods wouldn't cost Nintendo that much money. I could also criticize their stance on emulators. I can agree with not wanting people emulating modern switch games, but games from 2001 that you are no longer even selling or providing any medium to play them? Come on. Side note: I never said there weren't other greedy companies.
"it's fine" "objectively speaking" meanwhile in comments "LOL Cope harder" dude u are so cringe that it's not even funny, today yt algorithm showed me ur previous video and god i hope it will be last time i see something from you because channels like this should have big banner saying "everything he said is paid promotion" and i hope yt algorithm will bury this channel deep
keywords toyko court. Nintendo knows they would fail in a US or Euro court. The worst that would come out of it is, it would be no longer forsale in japan. Big whoop, and if nintendo loses, they just opened a flood gate, but considering its a japan court they won't, and their media laws are stupid unfair and only protect the big guy.
Bro he doesn't care he's one of those weird white knights of the company's had for the like the last almost a year now he's basically sitting there saying you can't say anything about it about the billion dollar company, All a minute I've kind of been sitting here for the last 12 hours pissing him and his fans off and fans pokemon on honestly I don't mind the franchise but it's too basic for me at this point, 28 years old and yeah video games get kind of boring when it's literally been the same one repeated for the last better part of what 2 decades now, Also nice job bringing up the mega evolution thing with digimon I'm actually a bit more of a fan of days of digimon still
Like i said in the last video, some Pokémon look like other Pokémon with minor differences just like the Pals in this argument. So if Pokémon can make slight and minor differences to be "a different Pokémon" then wouldn't it stand to show that the Pals can have the same argument? If not, then id argue that Pokémon needs to change some of their pokémon designs to be more unique from its look alikes
Just to play devil's advocate, some of pokémon's pokémon looked like some of the same as its other pokémon. So even if palworld reskined some pokémon, technically, if 2 similarly looking pokémon can "be different" then technically so can the Pals in palworld
Jealous cause their Pokemon games suck now and someone did it better. Competition though amirite? We love to hate it! How dare they make incompetent Gamfreak have to improve as a developer and make something that actually captures the attention of anyone with minimal critical faculties? Dreadful! I hope they fail miserably. I hope they fail so hard the precedent it sets never allows any company to do this ever again. If you can't compete with your games then you deserve failure, OR if you're actually smart, you offer to lease the license out for a game or two and make profit while your audience gets a game that isn't an insult to the intelligence of toddlers.
Considering they went from 1M players to 18K currently active players, yeah I'd say they died off pretty hard. OBVIOUSLY they aren't COMPLETELY dead at literally 0 players, it's relatively speaking, but you knew that and just wanted to try and be all smart.
i dont see this going anywhere, palworld is different enough any reasonable courts going to look at nintendo and go well they both look like animals thats it, this would be like bandai sueing over mega evo
