I could imagine inner agent 4 having a transforming weapon gimmick where he has one of every weapon class and simply summons a functioning replica of a particular weapon and has every special weapon and sub weapon from each game and has every color chips in the game Including every weapon specific color chip simultaneously with a temporary disarm attack that scrambles the players weapon kit temporarily
It's one thing to fight against a squad of Inklings being commanded by a rogue AI. It's another thing to fight against an Agent who's taken down groups of Octolings by themselves.
What VSTs did you use for this? Do you have Omnisphere, or did you use alternate method of getting the Splatoon synths? Cause this sounds AMAZING, and so accurate to a track you'd actually hear in the game!

Marina: PEARL! Are you okay?! Pearl: “Yeah I’m fine ‘Rina, that thing, whatever it is wouldn’t even wait for me to stop moving, it just shot me out of the air. Pearl: “What even is that anyway? It looks and acts like those strange guys we fought earlier, but something’s… off…?” Marina: “I don’t know, I’m looking through the data but none of this makes any sense.” Marina: “It just keeps repeating the number 4 on loop.” Marina: “I’m sorry Eight, but there isn’t anything I can do for you here, you’re just going to have to get through this on your own.” Marina: “Huh? I know expression on your face… you’ve dealt with something similar in the past?” Marina: “In that case, go get ‘em!” Pearl: “We believe in you Eight, go wreck some halibut!” Marina: (Eight is shaking, I hope this turns out alright.)
Y’know it’s funny to think about, but Agent 4 was kind of inconsequential in the long run. Had they failed in saving Callie, do you know what would have happened? Agent 3 and Capn’ Cuttlefish would return from the events of Octo Expansion which happen concurrently with the events of Hero Mode, but it wouldn’t just be them it would also be Off the Hook and Agent 8, if they found out Callie and possibly Marie were both kidnapped and being kind controlled by DJ Octavio, they would probably head to deal with that immediately. The Squid Sisters being Marina’s oshis and the sole reason the Octarians began to leave, there is no question the lot of them would head off to save her. And unlike in Hero Mode where we have to bust in through the front door as it where, Marina used to be a high ranking member of the military, if anyone knows back doors into the main dome, it would probably be her. Octavio is more than just fucked here, so despite everything Callie was always going to be alright, I mean Sheldon and Marie are both smart enough to know that leaving a message for the currently out members of the Squidbeak Splatoon for when they return should something happen, or should they be gone at the time, that would probably be a smart idea. Especially for Sheldon, he would no doubt have one of his drones carry the message to the base if something happened, which in this hypothetical something did happen.
I almost forgot for a hot second Agent 4 and Neo Agent 3 are like the biggest outliers in Splatoon, they're the only agents who are just random civilians who got dragged into some pretty fucked up stuff.
Idea if this was an actual boss: (this takes a few ideas from another comment) The entire arena is pitch black, excluding your ink, and the enemies eyes. Agent 404 isn’t actually in the arena, they are spectating, with 4 shadow clones in their stead. The clones are about as smart as the octolings from story mode. There would be 4 power rerouters, their location shown by spotlights above them. The clones die immediately as they touch the light, but they can still shoot through the light. As the phase progresses, and your reroute more power, the spotlights become dimmer, their radius decreasing and the clones only taking damage over time while inside. Once all 4 rerouters have been activated, floodlights would fill the arena with light, instakilling all clones, and forcing 404 to fight. During phase 2 and 3, 404 will provide suppressive fire, via specials. Once you beat agent 404 3 times, All the power rerouters will shut down, having all the floodlights shut down, forcing you to fight 404 and their clones, in the pitch black night. Oh, and all the clones infinitely respawn. Have fun!
I really wish this was real. Agent 4 deserves a return, this theme perfectly encapsulates potential resentment from her being left behind. If we did have a Inner Agent 4 fight, this is the theme I'd pick for it, good work man! 🔥
