What an incredible arrangement and performance by VP! The Grundels are my favorite! Singing, acting, set, arrangement and costume was epic! Thanks for reacting to it!
Thank you for your reaction, and the fact that you also hear voices in the background at the end of the song😂 thought I was going crazy because no one else was mentioning it. Now if only someone would tell me what they’re saying ❤
If you want a 'treat'.....go to RU-vid....type in "Spike Jones and his Cityslickers"......you will find a similar medley they used to do, using real instruments, but not in the way they were made for....from the 40's and 50's.....>^^<....Some of these song can be heard in Disney's Fantasia....lol
💀I feel that at one point in everyone's life, they use the Wilhelm Scream. And I've heard the theory that it's been used in every possible movie since it became a thing. And even some TV shows! 💙
One thing that most people miss in first viewing is the colored smoke. It changes to match the color of the person soloing. But during Layne’s part, there is a special Easter egg in the fire’s coloring. Layne and Tony brought 32 trees into their studio and added another 10 hand painted tree trunks to the set. The forest had been there for a couple months while they filmed a couple Pattycake videos. An episode of the Villians Lair (part 1 of the episode Ancient Relics just premiered) and another of their evolutions series.
I recognized but could not name all of the pieces Layne included here. Fortunately they put the list in the description so I can pretend to be smart. Layne wrote random syllable lyrics for the one section, just to add a little extra chaos. I must have watched this 20 times before I realied that Cesar was doing the Can Can! Great reaction, guys!!!
I'm here to spread the tale. Every once in a while Voiceplay has to go back to the forest to revert to their true forms and refresh their glamours. And of course, stock up on more spells (songs) to enchant their audience! Hopefully it isn’t a problem that Rachel got away with the book
Please react to Gabriel Henrique. I am sure you will fall in love with his voice. Not to mention that Gabriel's fans will come here; believe me, you will receive visits from thousands of fans.
How hauntingly beautiful! I didn´t know this song, until I did a series marathon of "Lucifer" on Netflix. Tom Ellis sung a slightly changed Version (because he wanted desperately to fall in love) and I wanted the Original. But I did find the original not to my liking and the second recommendation was Geoff´s. I loved it from the first note and heard it many times since than. Thanks for reacting and sharing! 🌷
Love watching your reactions, facial expressions and joy as you listen/watch. Please keep reacting to Voctave. Here are a few suggestions; The Great Movie Medley, Disney Heroes & Villains, Disney Showstoppers, O Holy Night, O Come All Ye Faithful, Mary Did You Know, Nutcracker, Where are You Christmas, How Far I'll Go, Somewhere, You Will Be Found...Thank you and great job.
I love that you notice they're not sing "Wimaueh" constantly like in original, you're the first onte that notice that. Actually this voiceplay song is a second version 20 years after they do it in 2004, from the most famous guys, we only have Geoff, Layne and Earl, the other are member that left the group after. And this version is very different and they say "wimaueh" like in original. So i have a recation sugestion: Do a Reaction/Comparison, listen the 2024 version again and try to catch new details and then, listen the 2004 version ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FlYZ65Nv024.htmlsi=qqyX1XSMBEGjwz5A ) and after you both say what you like more! I would love thid! Love from Brazil 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
One of the plug in sounds Geoff used for this cover was the sound of locusts. This was shot in a different section of the same studio where they filmed House of the Rising Sun.
As promised yesterday, here I am back! 😅🥰 Carrie is absolutely right about the higher sound - and knowing the Original, the surprise is even bigger when Geoff starts and stays "in the Basement" for a while. 🙃So Geoff irritates many first-time-listeners, who expect sadness and an angelic voice. I like the more oppressive and uncomfortable mood in Geoff's interpretation. And these atmospheric sounds/distortions increase the vibe, as you mentioned in the onscreen-comments. I always get chills when the layered vocal part after the short "blackout" begins. And of course it's phenomenal when Geoff showcases his range and sings in the known upper register, too. Thank you again for your reaction - and yes, probably that's why I like this song so much: It's a quieter mesmerizing song, that "draws you in" like in a tunnel. It's not the "Multiple Geoff's Show" with comedic throw-ins (I like theese, too! Of course!). It's one of the more serious pieces like "The Sound of Silence" or "Shenandoah" (for example).
I was not familiar with this piece either. The way he did it reminded me of the grizzly bear lullaby he did with Till Then. You haven't reacted to Geoff's version of Country Roads, Bare Necessities, or Saddle Up (cameo with Layne).
Finally done with editing this reaction! This also means we're up to date with Geoff's most recent videos. Which of his older songs should we react to next? 🤔
4 songs still to react to: in order - Bare Necessities of The Jungle Book, Christmas song Mele Kalikimaka FT. The American Sirens trio, Country Roads and cowboy song Saddle Up (same set up of Bare Necessities).
You may wish to go back and listen to the original by Jim Croce. It's quite different. I'm not saying one is better than the other; they're just really very different. Jim Croce was killed in a plane crash. How much wonderful music we lost when we lost Jim Croce.
The harmonies in this one are stellar! Geoff really enjoyed the scatting at the end. This was filmed by Geoff and Kathy at "a random studio in Orlando" as the PattyCake Production's studio was busy. This video was fueled by peanut butter and jam sandwiches. The Castellucci's new dog is Thomas the Moose - Tommy for short. He's a red Golden Retriever. They were fostering him then decided to welcome him into the family.
I love Geoff's voice, his arrangements, and all his other talents. Also, he looks good! Loved those very full, extended low notes and the scat at the end. Great reaction!!
I love it when Geoff choreographs the head turns to listen to the soloist. Just like you would if singing in a group. But considerably more difficult when shooting solo. I’m sure Kathy has a lot to do with keeping them straight. Thanks for the quick turn-around. There won’t be a Voiceplay release this month, but get ready - the next one is a Layne passion project!
I will, guaranteed! I'm so looking forward to the 'Wicked Game' reaction (It's my favorite "Single Geoff" song to date) 😃👍 And thank you for your reactions, at all! I really like them with your comments and the written remarks. A very cool concept.🥰👌
This song seems so pertinent to today's world - from the US Politics, to Ukraine being invaded by Russia, to Hamas killing Israelis, and taking hostages, Israel killing Palestineans. It reaches deep into my psyche.
. Left to right we have: Goff, Daryl, Jeoph, and Jeff - the Ghost Riders before they died and were cursed to eternally ride. Geoff was confident that Daryl would keep the boys in line. The moment of matching moves by Daryl and Jeoph was serendipity - Geoff explains it as him having his style of singing and moving his hands with the notes, and they sometimes are the same in a couple of the shots. Often, he'll reshoot a segment to get rid of it, but liked how it turned out in this instance. One of the plug-ins for this cover was labeled "Tubular Bells," and Geoff says there are over 1000 tracks for this song! Most of the costumes from Ghost Riders in the Sky were in storage and Rick Underwood still had most of the hair pieces saved. This is the first time this particular background set at PattyCake Productions was used. Eli did the lighting design.
That's some pretty cool behind the scenes info! Thanks for sharing. The way the video was edited made me think that he intended to highlight the matching movements of the hands 🤣
