Fish for Anything that takes the bait ! The mystery beyond excitement when the Rod moves. The Rush that flows through the vain and eyes wide open to see what is at the end of the line.
I don't like that you left the hook in the fish. you had a rag grab the eel with rag an twist the hook out just like you did with the dogfish, not cool leaving the hooks in fish unecessarly..
Less than 2 feet , if it’s longer than that it will be hard to cast and won’t go far. Try like a foot and half. You will get out longer distances and the bait will stay on
Congratulation, axelent fishing and good lesson for children we are not fishing because we hungry, we relissing catch and to do this much easier I learned to file spike on the hook
Unfortunately, I can’t tell exactly the spot there’s many reasons for that. I do get yelled at for blowing up spot so I’m not gonna do that but what I can tell you any opening area in the Hackensack river you’ll be able to catch them !! But right now it’s too late you will have to wait until late falls
I grew up in Wayne. My dad and I would go fishing at the bottom of the falls. Back in the 70’s. It was gorgeous. We would catch 2ft long trout under the falls. After a big rain we would get crayfish in the rocks where the water overflowed. I had an amazing childhood. Thanks mom and dad. Thanks for posting this. It brought a happy tear to my eye.
Wow I am glad I can bring back memories!! Love your story bro. This is the reason I am making these memories with my kids. I am touched and it made me almost cry
