"Naval Action is a hardcore, realistic, and beautifully detailed naval combat sandbox immersing players into the experience of the most beautiful period of naval history - when sailing ships ruled the seas." My goal is to Entertain all and show new comers how to perform basic manual sailing, perform strategic maneuvers and battle tactics in NA.
@@k333rl The original PvP and PvE servers they did. They still exist though, with very low membership, etc. (have both) The Caribbean Main, is still around. Barrenly surviving.
That I don't know. Haven't looked into that yet. I use my DLC Victory predominantly for port battles. So the insurance thingy, did not grab my attention yet.. :-)
Boarding the AI ships is easier. They all follow the same program. It is the live players that are unpredictable. This is where I need to look and learn some common sense tricks, etc. :-)
Lol.. the Buc is a clan ship. Ship builders loan a new build to other clan members, to "Book them up" for clan use in port battles, etc. This one has a strange build. White Oak - Frame and White Oak(s) - Planking.
@@deadwulffff7440 Well, for the Frame the Live Oak(s) is ideal. Uncured / unaged White Oak is weaker and used for Planking instead. Reasoning here might be, savings on weight, increasing speed. Thinking if you play it right, don't allow you planking get compromised, your structure / Framing can be somewhat sacrificed.
Yes, we always recruiting, newbies and especially experienced players. Give me your NA game name and time zone you live in. We will figure out best time to meet online, in game etc.
@@JankoG- +1 time zone (belgium) and deadwulf is my in game name currently not home until the 13th of july but planning to be active on naval action after my vacation so
The second you entered, the Redoubt boarded the Inger and that your first cue to leave. Kudos for fighting, but that was a fight you were never going to win (when the opponent knows how to sail as this guy did). You were massively out-gunned, out crewed and out tanked. In the next patch they are reducing the HP difference between the rates, so hopefully such fights will be more winnable. I would sometimes stay in this situation, just to check to see if the enemy is competent. But when he reversed and took your bow sprit and you elected to sail rep, then the fight was effectively over. I like that you fought anyway though and as it is only DLC, why not have fun and take the practice? so gg
Agree with your observations, etc. In the heat of the battle, wasn't even sure whether the Inger was boardet or just sunk. I had speed, agility and hope that the enemy might be a rookie player. It was worth staying though. For the lesson, and the recording. Which turned out to be, one of my most viewed videos on U-Tube... :-)
@@czarny4747 The old / original game involving the two servers PvP and PvE are no longer available for sale. The new NA Caribbean Main is for free to play. In other words, the two old servers are permanently closed to new gamers / players. I for example, purchased the orig game, therefore I can still play in all three servers.
GG was a fun fight, one of the closest PBs I’ve had in all the years I’ve played. 90% of the PBS are pretty boring so it was good to be part of one going down to the last seconds.o7
Ya.. have I not been sunk, when I was. We might have won this one.. Anyway, saw a few of my mistakes in my own video and need to practice on those. Get an upwind position on my opponent and go for his water line every chance I get.. :-)
cinematic shots are cool and all, but its way more interesting when we can actually see what is happening in the battle so maybe only go cinematic once in a while and show the points and health etc more often. Thanks for recording though wish more videos of Port battles got posted.
I agree with you 100% man. I was being lazy with the cam, right clicking my mouse button so as to hop around from ship to ship. From now on I will use the Free Cam more often hovering around the action, with the Hud on. (I think that's what you suggesting.) Thanks for watching my video and your good advice.. :-)
Oh.. what game name you go under? None of the enemy list names have the GG as their first initial. Looking forward to seeing you, in the next battle. BTW, thanks for watching my video... :-)
@@Xela2501 Someone Else and your PB commander was Friendly Foe not Beetroot. My bad. And yes GG stands for good game. By the way we all watch your video 😉
@@rainerbrombach5502 Happy to hear that not only you, but your teammates as well, got to see my video. Forgot the name of your teammate that send my "ass" to Davy Jonse's Locker.. :-) Anyhow, learned a thing or two from him.
Yes, we've had nearly double the ship count. Generally, our skill level is still low, therefore making deadly mistakes. Myself was in full sales, when I took over 30 hits below the waterline, that sunk me. Good learning battle for us though. :-)
this game have a lot of potential and almost no competitor in this genre. But they failed. Just let us sail in most realistical way not only in battles, realistical wind and weather system and this game will become what asseto corsa is today.
The clan is doing a Flag Plant, later today. I will post it on U-Tube, as soon as I can. I wish to do more of PvP. They not as easy to get into verses attacking AI on daily basis, etc... :-)
Here’s an idea, why not sail in a circle where everyone follows each other so in a siege situation rather than hive all of the guns going off you take turns one at a time kinda like a gattling gun 😂
@@JankoG- despite being limited to 420 crews I’ve found that using two rattlesnakes heavies to be the most ideal solution for hunting down trader ships due to their low crews along with having forward facing cannons
Naval Action is running three servers, Peace; War; and the new Caribbean Main; I am on the Caribbean Main. Have the other two as well. To join a clan, when in "Port", go to the bottom icons on your screen. Second one from left is the "Leader Board". Click on it, next window you'll see the "Clan Leadership" click on that. Now you will see all the clans in GB listed. Next when in "Open World", click on GB players and you'll see if they belong to a clan. Start a chat with the one who's clan you would like to join. Simple inform that person you would like to join his clan. Hope this helps! :-)
Ya agree. Wasn't.. I mean I was trying to be a hero.. :-) Help a fellow Brit in dire need. Had no idea how deep in %$^& he was at the time I decided to join in. Well, you watched the video. Could not get on his ass. Besides he was out to board me, from the get go.. :-)
It's Walter Ritz, mate, you should say smth when you under focus, so your commander and/or teammates could react to that and to hide you or to change the direction for hiding your ill left side. Both variants could give you time to repair. And vice versa - you as a fleet should focus targets almost all the time
Constantine here, I was the L'ocean in front who got f'ed by the mortar brigs xD Yea we're really just trying to get better at everyhting, GB hasn't really been in a good RvR position this season, so most of our guys aren't used to line ship sailing, port battles etc. This one was f'ed from the get go tho, you really had us immediately hurt xD
@@mf80beats Unfortunately, I don't have too much experience (only one battle as a commander), but from what I understand, I try to be constructive, because we may have more than one battle side by side with Janko) Let's hope for a new big patch will make this game much better!
Great advise man! I've heard something along those lines before. In the heat of the battle, all that goes out the window, for me. :-( Watching my video, noticed ranging shots that hit the enemy ship's deck and I missed that in the battle. Need to relax more and take my time, etc. :-) Thanks Again...
Agree, ma favorite, as it is obvious.. since I am using it way too often. :-) In case you not familiar with Naval Action, that is the HMS Victory 1765. Purchased the DLC Painter kit also, thua the paint job is not the default one as in the game.
Well ya.. when that happens, it really hurts, etc. However it is what it is. Sad part of it, is that quite a few newbies quit the game prematurally, because of this. In my opinion mainly because of this. Regarding myself, should not have ventured out there by my lonesome. Usually as clan member, I hit the blue water in a group of at least three fellow clan members. Thanks for watching my video Man... :-)
Not when I am working for my clan. Clan needs resources to build new ships. Replacing one's lost in Port Battles, Flag Plants or defense of either. Need new one's as fast as possible for the next Port Battle, Flag Plant etc. I complete missions quicker, acquiring more Combat Medals, Naval Medals, wood types, etc with a 1st rate vs 4th rates and lower. The videos serve a minor purpose. Shows our newcomers to the game and our clan, strategy, tactics, manual sailing and so on. When I want to do a heroic act, of course I attack a larger ship vs mine...:-) Check this one out!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hNYIh0-Hj_c.html
Thanks man! Actually this was a relaxed battle against an AI. Check out this one, person vs person! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hNYIh0-Hj_c.html
They ruined the game removing the ability to bounce shots. I used to love fighting 1st rates in my 3rd rate stern raking them and then angle away to bounce most shots.
You can still bounce shots by angling, but not all of em and at all times.Depends on wood types their thickness, versus cannon ball caliber. Yes the battles are more challenging and (my opinion) more realistic...:-)
@@JankoG- I had my vic with the best armor build ( seasoned oak or whatever it was before the combat change) and it barely bounces even like good angled.
What Game is this? Edit, just saw what game it is. i tried getting into it but kept getting insta killed by players while trying to do some starter missions.
To begin with, stay in the green zones on the map as vs blue zones. It is in the blue portions of the map, that you can be attacked by live players. Better yet, join the British Nation and preferably my clan, clan NINE. We will teach you how to play and protect you in group play from enemy players. In case you prefer one of the other nations, join a clan there of your joice. Good Luck! :-)
The game is back as the "Caribbean Main". Why don't you give it a try. We could use you on British Nation, in clan NINE.. :-) BTW free to play on Steam!
Mate, after you fired from carros press f1 and you will get more accurate sight. You can turn off carros at all with f1 on the major distance - and then fire only with them - such a way you get max possible accuracy
I only started using carros a while ago, did not like them early on. Forgot I have them on the top (weather deck). Could not understand why my ranging shots went all over the place.. :-( Thanks for your advice man!! :-)
Never heard of that. You speaking to an ignorant person here.. :-( Can you please explain it to me in more detail? What does it mean, "Fire on the uproll". The last word in that quote (uproll) throws me of... :-)
@@JankoG- In Naval Gunnery, Master Gunners trained the seamen in the gun crews to fire very accurately and reload fast. Firing a cannon on the uproll of a wave improved the arc of the cannonball in flight and also allowed the gun crew to roll the cannon out of battery more easily, unlike firing down swell.
It was mostly used to prevent firing into the sea. However, They often did it to also target the vulnerable mast of the ship (as the wave would traject the cannon balls upward.)) , which would leave your enemy immobile@@JankoG-
Now that I think of it, used to wonder how the battleships in the WWi to WWii days / era did zero in on enemy ships miles away effectively, etc. Imagined they've used a combo of large water levels, one for port side to star board side tilt and the other for bow to stern. When the two air bubbles on both appeared on top simultaneously, all cannons on deck were fired. Thought to myself following this procedure, ranging would have been very quick and pretty sustainable.@@eveei
That sounds just like us. We've been beaten by the Spaniards and Pirates alike. However, win or lose, still like this game. Will play it until "it" or I die... :-)
I think I know what you referring to. He is a clan member and a gaming partner. I play it neutral and tolerate certain things. Or else, I be locked in my house and never come out...:-)
