I want a 572xp SO bad but I just can’t justify needing it. I have a 550xp MK2 and honestly I have 3 50cc saws and don’t ever end up needing anything larger than them. If I had some big trees to fell though you can bet I’d get a 572xp in a heartbeat. Best 70cc saw on the market and it ain’t even close.
@@stannelson2582 yeah! I send all my batteries to a reputable local recycler. It's gunna be a sight in 5 years with all these electric cars they are pushing. What a disaster
I own and use each of them. Different saws for different uses. 400 is lighter but has a poor oil pump that doesn't keep up with a 24" bar and chain ( 84dl ). It needs the optional HO oil pump for a bar over 20". 572 has more power and torque that works great on 24" and 28" bars with a very good oil pump. Test them both in 24" wood and see which one wins. Both saws cost about the same. Are either of the two saws muffler modded? Both completely bone stock?
The 400 has had work done by walkers, just muffler I believe, the 572 is stock. That was our first pro husky, always ran stihls, but am really liking that xp!
Gain speed but will lose the torque, be a bit harder on the wrist for sure! I was playing with an electric set up, but you really only need more speed if you have a speed loader set up and another guy lol
I've seen multiple videos of both of these saws racing and half the time the ms291 wins and the other half the ms261 wins. Both seem pretty even to me. The 261 is 50ccs and has 2.3 bhp while the 291 is 56cc at 3.76 bhp.
Love my 271 20 inch bar, change up better chain & bar,.huge fan stihl chainsaw fan from the warm springs oregon reservation, I cut good tamarack, pitch y,pine, red fir big blocks!!❤
How well would this handle a load taller than the tonneau cover? Or on a truck with an 8ft bed? $40k truck, plus a tonneau cover and hand crank unloader. Maybe a $30k truck and a $10k dump trailer or dump bed insert would be more efficient.
I think it will handle mulch at the amount nicely. Wouldn't try topsoil or stone. I will make a heaped video of the mulch being unloaded. Dump trailer is defiantly better! But a new one is over half of what we paid for the truck lol! I do have a dump trailer, but use this when stump grinding, as I have that in an enclosed trailer, and don't usually take much mulch away often. So this worked perfectly for $50!
Nice video. I've seen some firewood content of yours as well. I appreciate the comparison, I've been out of the equipment loop for a bunch of years. Keep up the good work.
I have a question. Are all the wires the same size . I have a 140 and a 130 and a cub . I know the 140 and the 130 needs rewiring bad . And what did u use to remove the rust in the gas tank . I’m new at all this . Not a mechanic either , so trying to learn how to do this with out messing up my tractors. I was blessed last year to be able to get all three of them . Now I see some issues that need fixing. My main mechanic past away so I’m on my own .
I believe it's mainly all 12 gauge, and some 14. 2 gauge for starter wire. I soaked it in muratic acid. Follow the instructions on the bottle. Worked great, just be careful.
