This police force is more than just catching criminals; in order to survive each day they must deal with frustrating members of the public--and, often, their own colleagues.
From petty thieves to violent drug dealers, murderers and gangland rivalry these coppers police the estates and streets of Sunhill life is never easy for the borough of Canley.
I remember this era - I worked at an oil and gas company in the 80's. We used to call lunch "Funch" because we would drink alcohol and Everyone did it including bosses so it was no biggie!!! 😂 😂😂
Can't believe they would put polly away for life, she was one of the best WPC's on the show. She shouldn't have been removed from the show... Edit: The reason she left was long hours and 2 real life miscarriages. Sadly. But I still wish they gave her a better exit.

P.C. Kent is the last person to pass judgement on anyone else. I wonder if the writers have ever heard of bisexuality?. I dislike the way it is implied Luke is somehow "lesser" than other men.
@@thebill-walkingthebeat thanks for uploading what you have. I was especially impressed with their uniform representation. It is not common for a police drama to show full formal attire (white shirts and black ties).
I like the depiction of the young guy who has to handle an important case by himself (Galloway's in court & Roach is in a mood again) - so he begs for help in a slightly pathetic way and then has to start thinking for himself... Rite of passage Of course he messes it up royally - bound to happen. And "learns from 'is mistakes"
