Hi dear friends! My name is Tara and on my channel, I wish to take you on a journey to my Rhapsody - traditional cooking, hiking, visiting old villages and storytelling. Come with me while I experience the beauty and joys of everyday simple life!
@@TDYo Hi, unfortunately I don't know because we walked a lot, and that street was a narrow dark alley away from tourist attractions. I believe you can get this quality wherever if you just lose yourself in the local areas
You have noble cause Tara! I used to buy second hand , but that was when i did not have a dinar in my pocket. So just let me tell you what a commoner will comment on this idea of sustainable fashion : Stop Romanticizing Poverty! We all lived in a times where i used to spend my whole year at school with 2 pair of pants and 1 jacket. So did a lot of my friends. Now we work and we want to buy a new shirt from time to time This really noble ideas that you have will only work in some hippie comuna at Spawn Ranch. Sorry for being brutally honest. Love you.
Yes, I understand what you're saying, especially if the noble choices were coming from a place of poverty. But I say we have to build healthy relationship with clothes, because buying too many will only cost money and end up in the trash. Thanks for watching the video, I love when there is a variety of opinions :)
@@travel_nature_and_life thanks a lot and welcome to my channel - I plan to post more from our trips to nature :) The town is Ohrid, the village where we started the hike is Velestovo, and the country is Macedonia. I recommend everyone to come and visit this wondeful piece of land!
I have never seen a video with THAT MANY food tastings IN 2 DAYS 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 Well done Tara and Kosta, especially in Istanbul where there is so much food to try and so little time👏 Güllüoğlu baklava was on Discovery channel, and is pretty much world-renowned. I like how they still obtained the high quality and are not (yet) a tourist trap. Next time when you go back to Istanbul try: 1. the Kiyi Balik fish wrap food stand in Karaköy maps.app.goo.gl/9j1FVSrgJaG6RJVG9 I promise you won't regret it, was the best and cheapest wrap I've bought in my life and I was skeptical about fish in wrap before. 2. the family-owned restaurant Helvetia in Beyoğlu maps.app.goo.gl/jGjA7iDeJJC5FAQ1A They offer many options from which you choose 5 on a plate. Very authentic with reasonable prices, especially for that part of Istanbul.
1. Don’t buy something just because it’s cheap 2. Quality things over quantity. If you can’t afford it, wait until you can 3. Prioritize what do you want to spend money on 4. Use a money tracking app and be ashamed of yourself 😂😂
I know it sounds crazy, but this is in case you really don't have money or you don't want to spend any. Or for people that take food waste to another level :)
Thanks for the great video and the excellent view from the mountain trail 🤩And huge thanks for not going to the mountain with an ATV which unfortunately increases in popularity but defies the whole purpose of nature's serenity. I love picking chestnuts in autumn, dandelions in early spring (for salad with heated pork cracklings) and sometimes mushrooms (which I don't know how to do alone). Spruce tips are great refreshing snack on the go during hikes, like healthy gummy bears 😊 We always need to have in mind to be respectful to the nature and not to pick too much in order not to affect the animals in the food chain. Which of course you did nicely 🙌
Thanks for sharing! I had no idea about the spruce tips, so thanks for the recommendation. I'm trying to learn more about foraging, especially herbs because our mountains are a natural pharmacy, besides being stimulants to our good mental health. When I see something that I can pick in nature, I'm overwhelmed by a childish joy :)
I agree with all of this except when you said that after working out you crave healthy food... After working out, all I can think about is getting a massive burger or having fried chicken 😂
Hiking, especially in the summer to avoid the crowds at the beaches and to exhaust oneself to really deserve that day's lunch 🤭 Very nicely put thoughts in the video!
I cycle in the countryside for a better mental health. Also, every week I try to declutter i.e. get rid of one of my posessions. On the weekdays I think of which posession I should get rid of next, them I enlist it for sale or I donate it at the weekend. This habit makes my workweek pass faster
Definitely clean and listen to podcasts! House is so much cleaner, brain is more nourished 😁 Also, Friday is bake a cake and have a drink while doing it day 🍻
Wow that really made me homesick for my lovely Macedonia (not sure where this was filmed though). Also when did you grow up into a woman like this with a partner, house and excellent English? 😀😀😀😀
Hi Keith, I'm glad this video brought back some nice memories for you. You're always welcome to visit - hurry up though, there are only a few jars left :)
