I had the exact same issue on the exact same unit. Got the exact same Chamberlain 1/2 hp garage motor described in this video. Chamberlain must have updated things and made them smaller. When I attached the motor to the rail and lifted everything to attach to the ceiling brackets the spacing was way off.

I don't understand why everyone wants to take shortcuts on these... why not replace the whole unit? that chain is probably worn due to stretching ( might be why the sprocket broke to begin with). Everything comes in the box... I would have just replaced all of it being you spend the money on it lol. Don't forget to test the door by jumping over the cat eye sensors as it's closing!
