Used it numerous times with no problems. Ant metalluc yarn will take some getting used to because if the metalluc thread, but it is wonderful. Used it many times.😊
Wirh Both knit and crochet, The metallic yarn is NOT at all difficult to work with. I LOVE making things like wind spinners..or winter hats. It adds such a beautiful spark
Someone made my mother a scarf and hat set a few years ago with that black metallic yarn. If you buy one to try it out, what can it hurt? At least you'll know for yourself. Everyone’s experience is different.
Those cowls are gorgeous! I want to know what that red and gold pattern is! Yes, Nikki explained it well, especially the part about how it drapes across the body.
I used to use it all the time. I never found it difficult to work with. The only issue is if the yarn gets damaged or the tension is too tight, the shiny thread can break and start to unravel away from the yarn. I only had that happen a few times tho. But this was a while ago, so the quality of the yarn might have declined over the years 💀
Just found your videos, you have a great video teaching technique, easy to follow. Your voice is easy to listen to, too, makes listening relaxing and easy to learn.
I’d love to hear this but had to keep my phone charged. Had to evacuate out of Tampa area from Hurricane Milton, over the weekend, will be back home when we have power n water and fuel and my house for damages! Cheers all!👍🏻
@@Yarnasasecondlanguage Finally made it home! thank you! Wow, our home was flooded, took in a foot of flood water! all our furniture is ruined. All my yarn that was in plastic totes, well, it took in water and 'drowned'. I had five large totes of unused yarn , all to be tossed. Ah well, at least my family is safe and well, that's all it counts. ❤
You are so easy to follow .. the varigated yarn is a standout too .. would like to see how you join different colors for a diagonal look .. would this pattern go well with bulky yarn? I have enough to make a blanket but was looking for a stitch to make it.. this would be a perfect stitch .. many thanks .✔️ 👏👍
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The variegated yarn is definitely a fun choice! I’d love to do a tutorial on how to join colors for a diagonal look-great idea! And yes, this pattern would work wonderfully with bulky yarn, especially for a cozy blanket. Stay tuned for more content, and let me know if you try it out! 😊👍
There's a catchy title in there somewhere for this. "Crime Time Crochet" or maybe "Hooks & Crooks". 🤭😉 This has been enjoyable to listen to a crochet mystery & crochet, love it! 💜
Great information. I think we forget that there are new people joining the yarn community all the time. When I started I had no idea there were so many different kinds of yarn & what everything on the labels meant. Great tip about the dye lots too. 😊🧶
