@@retro_jojo3159 you literally will get more points every time for grabbing the axe at 0 seconds, because the bonus counter wraps around. actually i think it went to 999, so you get a lot more points that way. assuming you had fire, and got the kill points from bowser, there's literally no reason not to pause and do this on every castle, as it tack on a lot of extra points..
level 6-3 is very hard. I have been countless people losing quarter over that long jump to land top of Turtle. I see the trick is to not stop and rush thru !
Watching this game is kinda eerie... After playing the NES version for years and seeing all of the little differences like block and enemy placement it's like a mandela effect.
Holy crap dude... *YOU ARE A MASTER AT Vs. SUPER MARIO BROS.!!!* This was the Mario game that introduced me to Super Mario Bros. when I was possibly two or three years old while living in New Hampshire...we would see this machine at the Pizza Hut we would eat at. *Well done!*
I want to play this but I don't have a cabinet nor machine of this. But I tried it on an emulator and none of the downloads work. Do you know any downloadable versions of this that work?
@@glitchedbloodIn Super Mario World SNES version, maximum number of lives threshold is ninety-nine. Any 1UPs after ninety-nine will not be credited; plus it will not result in a time over and game over.
If Mario keeps trying each castle until he finally finds the one with the princess, it's like he doesn't know where she is so why are there warp zones? If he skipped the first castle by warping to world 2, and hit every castle there after, after several more castles he might start to wonder if the first castle had the princess, but there's no warp zones that go backwards so he's screwed. The warp zones don't make sense unless they're for us because we know where the princess is. Do the warp zones break the fourth wall by acknowledging the player?
Dude, you just blew my mind. Maybe mario knows that the princess is in the last castle, but there is only one way there and the toads are just required by law to inform guests that the princess is in another castle.
@@retro_jojo3159 If Mario knows where the princess is, but me may also free some Toads along the way, their conversation starts by Toad not knowing what Mario knows. We may just be skipping over Mario's response of saying, "I know."
Great playing! By the way, can people call this world record without being posted on the TG site? I'm not saying your record can't be a world record, I'm asking if it can be a world record without having to be posted on the site.
That's a good question, the only reason it isn't up there was because of all the shenanigans that happened over there years ago. I'm pretty sure all the Super Mario bros. Speed runners play live on twitch and those are considered world records before or without being sent to twin galaxies. I don't really know the answer lol
I tried to find the answer to my question today, the result, I found correct answer. =>mods also said that video alone is enough. you're right! thanks for answering to my question and I clicked sub.good night! :)
Look, there is nothing bad about swearing, it is okay if you curse twice, the problem is putting them on videos that seem to be a innocent gameplay of a game targeted for kids, in this case, Mario, only for you to say the F word right in the scene where you complete the game. Since I don't want kids to be grounded for watching a video with swearing, please make a edited version of this video where you cut out the swearing, or at least put a warning stating that you curse at the very end of this video. And finally, I know that you said that were extremely happy about the fact you had probably the world record for highest score in VS Super Mario Bros, but you said you also swear in other occasions, why you made that insulting comment to robiin miharo where you called him a piece of (insert s word here)?? Explain me why you have that dirty mouth (I also want to know if you are going to make the kid friendly version of this video which cuts out the swearing, or at least put a warning stating you swear at 50:28?)
Thanks, but the update was kind of childish, just change it to: I curse in this video (exactly, at 50:28). All children should not watch this video or else they can be grounded. Save the children
Lincoln Loud yes it is very childish, much like demanding someone to change their video just because you don't like it. I know that you are trying to coming from a good place, but you have been commenting over and over about this and it's made me just not care about the swearing. You are entitled to your opinion just like I am to mine but that doesn't mean people have to give into your demands
5:21 GEX HAS TWO EYEBROWS Also, when I watched the Wayne Gretzky promo (which starts around the 4:22 mark), I noticed that he was playing the "Non PlayStation" (aka N64) version with one of those third-party "superpad" controllers. I pay way too much attention to this stuff at 3 am.
I don't know if it's in here, but on the vs. super mario bros version of the game--you can wait until 001 on the time and do a quick jump to grab the axe on 1-4 (etc) and the points reset all the way to 999....you get a ton of points for that.
Every X-4 if you hit the axe on 000 it resets as if it is 1,000 seconds, which is 50,000 each time. That's a quick 400k each time, but it would be only good if you have Fire Mario to defeat Bowser and then wait after.
Jose De La Luz this is the arcade "VS super Mario Bros." game. They also had the Play choice 10 arcade cabinets that usually had super Mario bros In it. It it was basically an NES In an arcade cabinet
Thanks man, It wouldn't have been possible without you guys. This was done back in 2012, and I don't think this would pass TG because I am not seen In the video.
However, IMO, TG rules for this game are totally wrong. When in a stage there is an "infinite pattern" (in this case stage 8-1) is absolutely forbidden lost a life: the stage must be completed with first life. Not have sense use infinite pattern for 4 times.
