Nice work guys 👍 I was wondering how you removed the rear bumper to install the sensors, if you didn’t remove it, how did you know there was space behind where you drilled for sensors and wiring please?

I love watching your videos. What DAB aerial do you fit to Fiat Ducato based motorhomes? As you know, the factory fitted aerial in the nearside mirror is rubbish! What's the solution for satisfactory DAB reception?

Hi, nice video ! Can you tell me witch radio frame you have used ? I have placed one in my camper and it does not fit because the round basel. Thank you !
Whilst fitting a similar rear view camera to a 2012 ducato camper van, I found an 8 pin connector tucked away behind the break light. After a bit of investigation, I found a corresponding identical plug behind the cab lighting unit. Although I couldn't get continuity between the two, I'm sure it would connect up if I had the means to switch it on at the ecu. This was in a factory built van, so I wasn't able to trace the wiring from back to front of the van, but I guess it is possible to use the existing wiring loom rather than spending time threading cable behind existing cabinets. 🤔
Look for an 8pin plug connector behind the radio head unit as later ducaros had a dash mounted monitor. Look behind the high level light unit for an identical 8pin plug. On the 2012 van this black 8pin plug is bound up with 2 white 3pin connectors. Inthe 2012 van the monitor is high level and I found what I believe is the connector from the rear camera to the monitor. @@aidanreilly5469
Hi there, I have I've of these units in my Ducato, but aren't receiving any dab radio, I've taken the unit out and they haven't connected the dab aerial into the DAB input using the standard connection. They have used an adaptor which splits the original cable into two and then connects to the left of the dab input!? Please can you explain why they have done this and maybe what I need to do to fix it. Thanks very much cheers Jules
Hi Just found you on RU-vid. Excellent videos. I have just watched the video where you take the Ducato dash apart and was wondering whether it is possible to replace the instrument cluster with the new digital one.
Hi David, for any questions we have a contact form www.motorhomeretrofits.co.uk/contact , if you can fill that out and send it to us we'll get back to you as soon as we can! Reply
Hello Rich and Owen, I also have a reversing camera installed on a 2016 VW Crafter but I get no picture. How did you do the coding? I do have a VAGcom-hex-net device.
Like others, I found 1) using a tracer string useful 2. removing electric window button assembly essential! (Prize out from LHS of assembly) 3. Also (like comment by Moleontube) had to remove window blind as well as window trim - there is a blanking plate at top left. which hides a screw which once removed, allows complete window blind/ trim assembly to be lifted off a hook at the bottom left. 4. Also found single extra wire as well as main wiring loom when removing original mirror assembly. After demolishing the casing of the old mirror assembly, found this was a thin co-axial cable connected to the radio aerial which was installed on the inside casing. Managed to strip this out then install it behind the actual mirror assembly of the after market mirror which of course, did not have the aerial. All in all quite a job at the end of the day, however all working now! I mention these 'extras' to hopefully help others with the same job.
Great video and very helpful. One quick question - who do you use as the seller on Ebay please. I've just purchased one at £60, however I'm going to have to return it as the T40 screw holes don't align properly and when I present it to the body the angle of the mirror arm in its detent position is not the same as the existing fiat mirror and I can only just see down the side of the vehicle body even at full electrical adjustment. Its going back, but I'm hesitant to buy another unless it's of better quality
Still dont understand the apeal to have a built in navigation system in an era where there is so many good navigation systems on your phone already and apple carplay/android auto on any good head unit.
Excellent video, so many screws to find and remove really good to see how it is all put together, a question please, my 2010 Peugeot Boxer Autocruise has an alarm issue and the main alarm unit( Meta) is fitted to the bulkhead, how much further would I need to go to access the bulkhead and remove the unit for repair? Thank you
Hi, this was a really useful video, many thanks. Would it be possible to show how you remove the remaining dash parts to the right of the steering wheel, cheers
Very helpful video, i'm planning to put some switches near the wheel for the high beam i want to put and my rear lights, i'm sure it's pretty much the same on a left hand drive peugeot boxer, thanks a lot sir !
Taken the trim off and my wiring doesn't look anything like that! There are two plugs attached to the door underneath the switches on the door panel. I have already ordered what I thought was the replacement wing mirror assembly. Now I think that there are different versions to what is described here. I'll have to wait and see what arrives I guess.
