Wow, its naturally beautiful! I was born in pakadeng but came to us in 1981 (at 11 or 12 years old) I hope one day I will be able to take my 2 daugthers to back to visit my mother land country and shows them their roots. I am very proud to be Lao!!

Good story. The other story about chao pakading was that he chao anouvong younger brother .who was fleeing from siam when Vientiane was burning in 1828? The siamese army intercepted his escape route at pakading and they killed him.his body was wrapped and tied to large stones and put into the river.some say stone coffin?. So chao pakading is a prince.

Thanks for the subtitles. Scary story. After hearing it, I'd make an offering at the temple too before crossing the bridge. It's funny that such an ominous story came from a town whose name seems so happy-go-lucky to this westerner. Pakkading!
