I've got a svea 123r and a modern Optimus polaris but it was interesting to see the old model 199 running like new well done these stoves are virtually indestructible
That was well done Mr. B. 👌 . I've seen people put fine wire mesh rolled up instead of the globe when broken or unavailable. Holes pricked for lighting up and the lantern gives more heat sideways. Some even have it as an option/spare when hole lot'a shaking is going on. Looking forward to next show and tell. All my best. Z.
That's the best way, you want to be 100% sure I'm still not sure what is the best dubble burner, I would need to own quite a few more including a gold bond, still can't make my mind up about what lantern is the best ever, never mind I'm sure I will work it out one day, but as far as single burner stoves go I don't think there are many coleman stoves I don't own so hence my conclusion 😉 😊
Hi, I like you videos, but you have the camera soooo far away we cant really see any thing when stripping down, etc. you had the camera nice and close when going though the cigar box. When you moved the camera closer for the vice work, that was better, but then you went back to the long shot again !
My opinion, Coleman 502 is the best [not for backpackers] single-burner and just any old coleman "suitcase' 2-3 burner. They will run great on white-gas [coleman fuel], UNleaded auto gas, and with a bit of work, even kerosene.
Yes, the 502 is an awesome stove I Own two of them, but as an all-rounder you could not beat the Coleman Peak 1 400 stove, I Own almost all the different Coleman stove models including many dubble burners, they are all great stoves, but the Peak 1 400 is definitely my favorite and I find is always reliable, this conclusion has come from many expeditions and much use of many stoves 😂
Nice! And TWO OF THEM? Well done Sir. These have been on my radar for many years. Got a 99 but the 199 aren't going for what I'm willing to pay for them. They're like a pocket sized blast furnace! The burner is bigger than the tank. Very nice indeed. Keep up the great content.
Thanks Mike, what can I say but I'm blessed to own two of these beauty's, the first one I paid a lot of money for because I knew they were good stoves, this one was an unexpected bargain at $60,New Zealand 🇳🇿 😀
