devs need to give the wukong stance a skill tree where you can change into the stance. i mean directional arrow "down" is literally there lmao thanks for the vid
I’m on my 3rd play through and the bosses all of sudden just drain my health bar with 1 attack, so far no deaths but that’s because I went into desperate dodging mode.
I got it on NG+2. All you have to do is beat erlang 3 times. Once all of your relics are maxed out and you equip the wukong gear you have the stance. You just have to use a max four focus point heavy and it will activate.
as long as i took (9 hours don't know how many deaths may be 100+ trying everything... the strategy i end up practising and using was to get close to him as much as i can and use mobile spin to break his shield as fast as i can each time he gets his shield back.. and he doesn't like that, everytime you do that for too long he will trigger the kick you away animation scene, and i will try to get close to him again right away.) to beat him the first playthrough, i think its a "fair" secret final boss fight (great sage broken shell is the honorable boss fight), only complaint ... i hate the dogs....
If you haven't played the original GOW from the PS2/PS3 era I highly suggest giving them a try. I hate the new direction these "games" took. They feel like movies with all the cuts-cenes and one button jumps etc.
Annoying people always saying get good. No this game is very lackluster at combat it’s very unresponsive. I hate people who loves on games just cause like no. But yes you should practice and learn tips but this game does not have smooth combat period
You are experiencing all these combos for the first time in ng+7? Lol ive been dealing with them since first game through ng+++ now im on my fourth playthrough. Consider yourself lucky man. Lol. Ive had to learn strats to defeat all the enemies. The game makes you feel OP after first playthrough until ng++ after that the enemy health and damage get so buffed that the bull king + dark iron staff becomes a liability. You start needing more damage bonus and damage reduction than base stats. Enemies do give a lot of experience tho. Im on level 280 right now. Also dont waste mana on immobilise it never works on end game enemies and bosses because they are so aggressive. You can immobilise them and apply evanescence if you time the immobilise perfectly and can land a single hit before it breaks so make sure the hit is a heavy unveiling strike or normal 4 focus heavy. Or just dont attack and heal yourself and consume pills while they are immobilised. Use jingubang since i believe it alone can decrease the cooldown of spells when you land crits. So use staff spins to rack up crits. And yes when I said use unveiling strike I meant use cloud step. Its better than rock solid but ive seen so many players use it wrong. Cloud step alone can drain the entire 50% of boss health bar or more if you get a lucky shot with clones (you will need the 6th relic perk.) Amd in the first phase stop trying to do light attack combos on the boss. He is going to counter them with perfect dodges or rock solid and command grab you. Its your 7th or 8th playthrough you should have figured out that you need to keep your distance and use charged heavy smash and rinse and repeat
Also at least use the stone Monkey transformation mate. It does over 130 base damage with every hit can easily stagger enemies and does more damage with critical hits. On top it's got 4 focus points that you can use to heal your transformation. Only worthwhile transformations are the stone Monkey and the ebony flow yin tiger just for the parry. Stone tumor head guy to soak up massive amounts of damage. Yellow loong is okayish but with large enemies, the fov increases so much you cant see through hits well so it's hard to rack up focus points. Idk why you are using the horse guy.... I only did his questline in the first playthrough and never did it again because of how bad the transformation is. Anyways great content. Try to learn new strats from sources because you can never be the best. Even I'm trying to constantly learn. Good luck
Btw I've beaten him with, wukong set, bull king set as well as yaksha set. Yaksha set works better with the build I use altho at this stage build just means curios and gourd change. All the spells I use are maxed out and I never changed them till now. You can use pluck of many during tornado vessel use but life saving strand perhaps has more value. I'll maybe use it in this playthrough
I've got all the way to new game plus cycle 4 or 5 now I'm having trouble getting past a boss. The final fight against the broken shell is WHOOOPING MY ASSSSSSS
I’m in NG+3. I foolishly skipped the good ending in NG+1 and although I have all the relics, The Sage is horribly unbalanced. Even at max level, I can’t even beat him and can potentially one shot me. After watching this video, I confirmed my suspicion: The Wukong stance is definitely not worth if you’re fighting poorly and artificially inflated bosses
Shoulda made it so you get it as a reward for one playthrough with the good ending and let you activate it for as long as you want by pressing down on the D-pad. Then the summersault cloud can be called in by holding down on the d-pad
I played the 2018 on give me god of war in new game and new game plus and it was difficult but when I moved to Ragnarok and I'm playing new game on give me god of war it's just a nightmare idk how people are saying 2018 is difficult... It's just a joke compared to Ragnarok. I literally got stuck for 2 hours on the whatever of hatred from the second drauger hole... The Valkyries are really difficult I agree but I haven't reached the part where you fight whatever that is replacing them in Ragnarok. Maybe that's what makes it easier or something. I will have to see for myself
Wow mad respect for you it took me at least three days until I beat his ass. Finally, I didn’t realize it was going to be such a tough fight after beating the game four times.
