The Chinese labourers were brought in to finish the hardest part of the railroad that ran through the mountains to the coast. They played a very important part in the building of the railroad.

As an American and Filipino, I prefer the old flag. The new flag is good because people always associate Canada with the maple leaf. But the leaf flag has no other symbolic meaning. Other than, “flag of Canada”. Everything on the American and Filipino flag means something.
