I did not go to film school and I made my own feature film Mystic Demon Killer inspired greatly by Peter Jackson films like Braindead. I have found myself now at film school mainly because it is now the only way I can continue my art post lockdowns. If you do want to go to film school then make sure you pick a film school that gets you too makes films and not just write about them. I am at Falmouth University and have just completed my foundation year and have made five short films as well as all the written work.
I am the reincarnation of J.R.R Tolkien, and I can say (almost) unequivocally, that TLOTR trilogy, are my favourite set of movies. Simon Tolkien doesn't know what the fuck, he's talking about. As for Adam, I will take counsel with him. He will look at them, anew, when he understands, a little more, of what they mean to me.
@@reek4062 Yes. He said, that they were made for, teenage boys. I was 18, when I saw them. They worked for me. And, will work for Christopher, when he is alive, again.
Good to ear. Significant progress, after Sir Correlli Douglas Barnett last writings. Do you have people arriving from Kenya? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fkELYcRLPQk.html
I enjoyed the Hobbit as fun movies. The original trilogy had emotional connection and are masterpieces. As a New Zealander, Peter Jackson understands "Englishness"... USA directors and Hollywood don't understand "Englishness" The sad part for Peter Jackson and the Hobbit trilogy was that things were out of his control and the movies were more "Hollywood" and he had to little time to adjust them. His work is also brilliant with the Beatles documentary and "They shall not grow old"
@@kentl7228 Thank you. Same here. There was a special “spirit” about Rings but also about the Hobbit Im just so thankful Peter was in charge not Guillermo. From what ive seen of his design it was wacky and not in line with Rings at all I must confess to praying Hobbit would get made.
@@Tawadeb I wanted the Hobbit and the Silmarilion. I didn't want Amazon doing Tolkien. Jackson had done great things since then. The Beatles documentary movie and the WW1 film They Shall Not Grow Old are amazing. He cares about history. I still wait for the Dambusters and sometime suggested a film about Charles Upham. Have a good one )
@@kentl7228 Great ideas Yes Get Back was amazing. I havent seen the war one- where did you see it?? Hope dambusters and Charlie Upham get made Have you seen Charlie Upham This Is Your Life on youtube? Its really good. So is the book Mark of the Lion Cheers
May I ask what are the scholarship requirements and contact need. Is there any possibilities feasible and need to offer portfolios in form from 3d models sketches poets novels or music record performances compositions if needed there are some researches on program projects rosalind attempts
This man deserves nothing but love, it breaks my heart that he was definitely referring to himself with the hobbit and the studios chewing, swallowing and spitting him out :/ BUT no one will ever be able to take the original trilogy from him whatever happens and those who know, know ❤
@You Can't Unwatch It he may said that and it might be true, but there could be many reasons for that as well.. This here is just sad ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-20vA9U7J2qQ.html
they were not perfect. He and his team did the best they could, they took a risk splitting the hobbit into 3 movies but they couldn't pull it off. that's just not something that can be done well, not even by the best of screenwriters. And The Hobbit lives in the shadow of the now legendary, classic LOTR films. The Hobbit trilogy are fun movies, ive seen them twice, i'll surely watch them again. He's an amazing director, one of the best contemporaries. If you haven't seen his films outside of the tolkein stuff I'd highly recommend his early work, and obviously Kong was a masterpiece. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Jackson. he is a rare and genuine and passionate soul. a modern visionary
i hppe for my daughter have a lucky to learn in this college if she want so she iis sixteen and she learn in france in seconde generale hello melanie your father lord Sadsir
The woke-cultist-racists, who have infiltrated and poisoned Hollywood, make crap movies no one wants to see - and for that, we're all misogynous racists!
Just curious: when a student applied for A college, then received an email from college B indicating B is his first choice. Is this the result of computer automatic reallocation due to college A being oversubscribed or college A kicked out the student because he is not at the top list of its applicants.
Good interview. Small tidbit of advice to the interviewer: drink a glass of water before asking questions; avoid cotton mouth that way. Other than that, great interviewing style.
Incredible analysis, and Biden's plan for infrastructure in USA is pretty much the 1930's plan in 2021. But nations such as USA and UK are not facing unemployment, quite the opposite, Even us (here in Panama) are finding hard to get people fast enough to support growth. Are people really investing in social impact in 2021 when the focus is more on overcoming logistical hurdles and capacity constraints? The fast rebound pace of consumer spending might not be working in favor of solidifying social impact.
If he didn’t do the Hobbit the studio would bring in another director without the same passion for the project and would ruin it and i would rather have half-baked films than horrible films. Also I really like the hobbit trilogy
Totally uplifting, masks and all! Thank you so much for the super effort, and the magnificent performance, from the dark minor through to the major light. Jo Jesty (64)
Interesting interview. Comment about not making the film for the fans makes sense. There is a hell of a lot of tail wagging of the dog around - GoT, Star Wars etc etc etc. It must drive directors mad.
