My 2021 had same issue. Changed the thermostat and fixed the issue. Air conditioning worked. Temperature gage worked. Fans no longer ran constantly. There must be an electrical sensor which tells computer to shutdown temp gage and air conditioner. Tells fans to run. The thermostat is purely mechanical, not electrical. So, what is telling the computer to do what it does?
Just wanna thank you for your video, I was able to reach the keyboard perfectly. I don't have alcohol 99% so I'll have to wait until monday to finish the work. 🤞
Am glad I came across to your channel mines blinky fast I think I need new light bulb but it's the passenger side I have the same Kia Soul 2016 was trying to see where to start at lol 😆
Dude, I'm also a 2023 SPORT L BD,are you sure the rad on the back is real and not a replacement? I'm in the process of buying mirrors with the intention of installing them myself
@@Snakesjinjuriki I bought a set and haven't installed them yet, I'll let you know when I get a chance to install them because I think it's a pain in the ass to remove the back bumper
@@SHANCHISHEN I thought also that you were just getting the OEM mirror and testing if it would bring the module to life. It might be that it’s all that is needed
Are the high beam lights suppose to be on at night or only when you’re using high beam lights ? Only my balance lights turn on when I’m driving at night is why I’m asking if the high beam lights needs to be on ?
After I took the two screws from the hook, removed the hook and then the torx screw from the front of the rotor you can just remove the rotor. Sometimes the rotors are stuck from oxidation so you have to hit them with a hammer and the vibration helps them come off
Thank you for the helpful video I have a 2017 Colorado V6 with the same issue. I also bought an engine temp sensor, it will be a pain to fix because it's under the intake manifold but it's only a $13 part so I'm going to start there. If the issue persist this will be my next step
Unfortunately you will find the thermostat is sticking open. Check the OBD and you will find a P0128 code, indicating the coolant is getting warm enough.
This seems like a common problem in 2018's GM Canyon and Colorado. I have had it happen twice thus far, so I'll have to make a decision to take it to the dealership or try to replace it myself. Your video is going to be very helpful if I decide to do it. Many times, you don't know if the dealership mechanic does a good job. All the little quirks you mentioned are sometimes issues the dealership annoys.
The fan runs because the computer is getting no reading from your faulty temp sensor. Mine starting doing this last December, rarely, then became more frequent. I finally replace the temp sensor a couple weeks ago. The thermostat is a mechanical reactive device that the computer doesn't care about. You can get away with unplugging your battery for a while to reset things, or just leaving your truck off for several hours. Eventually, don't worry, it will happen all the time. The fan will run all the time at full speed while the engine is running and about 1/2 speed when you shut off the engine. After 5 minutes or so, the fan will finally shut off.
I have the Exl model with no blind spots monitor. There are sensors on the back bumper. The only thing seems missing is the side mirror for the blind spot monitor
@@Vegitobluuuuu They probably do and I wouldn’t know the price. I saw one on eBay for $250usd. You have to make sure it’s the correct pins. You have ones with 5 pin others with 7 and 8
@@Vegitobluuuuu I don’t know which one you will need. You would have to look at the connection between your mirrors and the rest of the connector. As I stated they are all different
Is there any idea for enabling this function on EX ? I have button to folding the mirror manually but when i lock the car it’s don’t folding automatically.
If you experience that the temperature goes down that should stop the fan? Then this is something with electrical stuff and controls failure, Your temperature sensor look fine as you explain… So look like no issues with thermostat
This is an issue with GM. You would think that the fan would shutoff if the vehicle is cool but it doesn’t. When the error happens it keeps the fan on. The reason was because my thermostat was stuck on open. Very weird right? That’s the way GM designed it. The issue was the thermostat was stuck on open and that’s what triggers the behavior we see
@@mambrake my friend hope it goes well with your repairs, Still not clear for me, stuck open.. fan doesn’t stop… temperature down.. strange how these combined together? Before you repair, If the fan turns on, does the radiator give hot airflow? I think probably it’s with fan controls and electrical stuff.. as you mentioned when you remove battery it will gone for a while.. then it might work properly for a while too, meaning that the thermostat doesn’t have issues
@@maythamabdulhassan189 The truck has been repaired for a while already. It's working perfectly. I don't know if you work with new model cars but they are not your regular old school cars. The computer runs very differently. This is what the Truck does if the thermostat is stuck open. This is the behavior. The reason it stops when you unplug the battery is because it resets the computer. Sometimes it can run normally for months then the thermostat gets stuck again and behaves the same.
