@@Silliz thanks ! I don't understand I have the feeling mine is very weird. 1st is normal 2nd normal too 3rd way too long And 4th and 5th quite short When I shift into 3rd my RPM drop to ~4000rpm On RU-vid I don't feel like other people have same gear ratio
@@Silliz maybe another gearbox ? From B6 1.8t or another one, I don't know which plug and play gearbox is fitable 🤔 A 3rd shorter and a 5th quite longer should be perfect
@@Silliz wait, I am confused, rear wheel drive on a B5? :O This might be the reason it looks slow, because of the transmission power lose. How did you achieve the RWD? Whata Transmision are you using? About my setup - is quite straight forward and simple - it's a polo 9n3 GTI 1.8t with BAM Injectors, K04 023 Turbo, Mishimoto FMIC, custom exhaust, custom intercooler piping, custom turbo intake (quite big), stock pump + inline wallbro 255 pump, 4bar fuel regulator and so on. As it is right now, I dynoed like 3 months ago and it did 276 Engine horse power and 470 nm (the torque is insanely high, I know :)). ) However the huge amount of torque for stock rods got me to bent a rod so I am waiting for the weather to get nice so I can rebuild the bottom half completely adding forged rods, arp studs etc and I might rebuild the cylinder head also at least the exhaust valves and all springs just so I can go nuts on the RPM.

@@That_Stanced_Toyota No sir, You are wrong. There is no bouncing rev limiter on B5 gen 1.8t's. It doesn't limit RPM by ignition, it pulls timing and cuts fuel. Do you even own a 1.8t?
A good tune with a larger k04 catless can hit 300 with enough boost! Usually the safe upper limit before map/maf/coilpack issues is around 25 psi(as long as the turbo isnt killing itself to hit that mark its usually all good. The best bang for your buck mod though is to just do e85 conversion . You can keep a stock turbo pushing 15 lbs and run aggressive timing to get a lot of powerful gains without sacrificing due to lag and stock intercooler heatsoak. Only problem then is making sure your tune isnt bending the oem rods because aggressive timing with a quick spool turbo=more aggressive low rpm torque which is the major rod killer. Tune should ensure you arent hitting aggressive torque down low by having max boost offset by rpms.Ive seen people hit 450+hp on stock internals by having large slow spooling turbos with a tune intended to build torque at a slower and steadier rate which leads to large amounts of acceleration on the drag with no lift shifts but would be miserable for any city driving
