I am a knitting, crochet and Tunisian crochet designer, author and tutor. I teach all levels across U.K. and holidays abroad. My two latest books, published by Search Press are: Embroidered Crochet and Tunisian Crochet Dictionary
I'm a beginner the last time I crocheted was around 26yrs ago when my hubby and I made a blanket for our baby boy. I'd like to start again can you give me an idea of what I could start of with seeing I'm a newbie. 🙏
So funny, I was thinking of you this morning, and your new letter arrived in my email. So happy with your new project, hope to be once again in one of your classes.
Please dear teacher maybe because my limitaded english i could not understand how i will repeat to make a blanket to my mom for exemple or a pullover or something else.. could you just give me a idea, a short explanations or show me a way.. please.. thank you again
You will repeat the 10 sts in the red box. It will be easier for you to see the chart on my blog. You will also find picture tutorial there to accompany the video. The link to the blog is below, I hope you will find it useful moochka.wordpress.com/2020/04/06/mosaic-crochet-tutorial/
@@moochka yes i got the blog and i m reading carafully and i will try the blanket and if is possible if you have instagram i would love send you pictures.
I love this tipy of mosaic because we dont need cut the yarn every time. of course the way to work is different but is possible to work with more then two collors too as i saw in your site. Thank you again
to make a blanket i need see the size and repeat this pattern many times untill its finish and make some crochet around to make some finish crochet.. ( my english is not perfect , sorry)
You are the first teacher that explain with the graphic in the same time showing it for us then for us who never made mosaic or some of us made it only with tutorial but without read the graphic what was terrible because it was like being lame . I m so glad you are doing it with boths tutorial and graphic in same time then i think maybe we will be able to read others tutorials... thank you very very very much God bless you
Thank you for this tutorial Anna, I knit quite a lot of socks, this looks like the ideal cast on. I will have to practice a good deal while watching your tutorial.
Very difficult to see because of the darkness green colour of the wool: Sorry for correcting you..... appreciate is the camera was more closer to your crocheting...
Ok. I'm new to this I have made tons of swatches. And I want to use my own pattern. It would be a gaint afghan and it is music notes is the one I have been trying to figure out. I can not for the life of me understand how to turn it into a mosaic crochet pattern. I mean is it even possible. I just can't get it. Lol. Thank u for your time. Hugs
Thank you for this video! I tried mosaic before but didn't really like it bc it was changing colors every single row, and that was way too many ends to sew in. This is much better and it looks amazing. I might give it a try now because of this. ♥️
I just crochet over the ends. I tie them in and just crochet over them. My struggle is turning my graphs into mosaic patterns I also tie knots and do more than one color In a row. I just wa t to use my own patterns from my sc graphs I love the look of mosaic just so clean compared to my wide single crochet or single crochet stitches.
Instead of sewing in all those ends for the change on every row, you can make an envelope border that encases them all. Tinna shows it well. Normally I would not share another designer’s links on another designers page, but as Anna is doing a different style of mosaic, I hope she won’t min tha I share (Anna, if you do mind, plz let m know and I will delete this)… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZWpdaAKCWIc.html I had put off doing the other type until I found Tina’s envelope border tutorial. I hope this helps for future if you find a pattern you like but worry it is too many ends to sew in. Both types of mosaic are so rewarding.
Hi Anna, I really hope you see this! I've started working on the Autumn wreath in your crocheted wreaths book and am really struggling to get the fox heads to look anything like in the book, could you give me some tips please? ❤️
My apologies for the late reply, just saw your comment. You can get my sock patterns on my website: www.moochka.co.uk , some are also available on West Yorkshire Spinners website xx
Thank you so much for the great tutorial! I wanted to try mosaic crocheting but I couldn't find a good video, especially on working with a chart. You explained it perfectly! 👍🏻
