I leave the trays full of water and repeat the process every week. I will be removing the carpet and replacing it with laminate floors. Should help out. I appreciate the comment and feedback.

I learned the hard way. Over 20 years ago. They are taking advantage of people. Salvaged parts should be about 70% off, but vintage parts it's a different deal.
Not sure what their gross margin is after taxes, mortgages and employee cost. It seems like they pay you 300.00 for your car and make 5,000 in parts. Totally agree on the vintage parts
Long story short: my hometown Pull It, told me where/what, I went, pulled, got. Paid toooo much but what ya gonna do? Home, didn't work after install, wanted restocking fee. Took a bit but we settled for me paying 1/3 of restock. More, but that's sufficient.
I was wondering what those Pick-A-Part junkyards you guys have out west look like we got Pull-A-Part over here on the East Coast I hadn't been up there in a while but I remember getting rims for a 1991 Chevrolet Silverado for 15 bucks a piece

Basic mechanics: Only take one brake apart at a time. Then you can go to the other side and see how stuff is suppose to assemble. Mirror opposite of course.
Great question, so my younger brother had told my older brother he heard a grinding noise on the car. So naturally my brother went to go get the car to bring it to me to inspect. As he was pulling out of the parking lot this happened. I 100% agree with your question. There had to be signs. So just to let you know. Both my brothers dont really work on cars. I bought this car from my brother for cash and a Toyota Camry. Just glad no one was hurt.

Pick n pull here in San Antonio charges 2$ for entrance. It's not worth it anymore. 41$ for a part I could get on Amazing for 78$ is nuts when you add 2h drive time 1.5h to find and pull it. + Gas 14$ . Add to that you can't bring your kid anymore. What's the point. Morbid nostalgia reasons to walk around in 100+ deg heat dying. Walking 2 miles with your tools and a couple water bottles. To spend more than just having a beer and clicking 2 buttons. I'll never go to the junk yard again. Cheaper to recycle and throw away. Till change comes to the economy and the way we produce things etc this was my last trip.
Last trip to a pull your part in Houston, Tx, the part I was going to purchase, they wanted $22 more than a brand new part. I left it on the counter at the window and have never been back.
Seems like they want to charge you for every little piece of the part you take off so the price goes up when you get to the counter. I was charged extra for a bumper cover because it had reflectors on it. Not lights but reflectors. It seems they want to tack on an extra charge for every nut, bolt, bulb, ect. If you buy a headlight make sure you take the bulbs out first or they'll charge you for that too.
Besides the price gouging, especially the "environmental fee" (here in the People's Democratic Republic of California) I stopped going to Pic N Pull is the fat heads that do not how to take parts without destroying 99% of the car! I see a gorilla or chimp do a better job at removing parts without damaging the car especially the guys with toolboxes advertising they will take part out for you for a fee. Definitely pisses me off after walking around in the hot sun and find the car I need to pull a part out; for it then get destroyed because some lazy ass wants the engine or transmission and they rather cut it out like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Pick your part is a rip off they don't pay shit for cars and charge way too much I have a 03 ranger and I called them to get rid of it and they said they will pay me $400 and it has to have the catalytic converter
I also left part at counter head light wanted 35.00 I bought brand new one same price no scratches and bulbs admission 5 dollars asked workers if they got raise said no just plan greed
I was at Fontana LKQ CA a few days ago, they wanted to charge me $50 for two pieces of cardboard with carpet glued on.. robbery without violence..I left them at the counter.
Nothing like cargo pants to recover your entrance fees. Junkyards used to be a good deal but unless it’s a hard to find part they’re just a ripoff these days
