wayne bergeron is one of the only lead players i've heard that when he plays a lyrical low part i want to listen to it because it's beautiful and controlled. Check out his o holy night. Best part of that is the beginning with the flugelhorn. So many tasty little moments in that. He's a truly great musician with a great ear, great feel for time and just an intangible feel for the instrument whether he's playing high or low.
Todos son unos chingones.,. Maestrasos todos aunque le voy más a Eric Miyashiro tiene un sonido aparte de muy agudo como todos un sonido más fuerte y potente
I played trumpet for twenty years. My friends threw a big party to celebrate when I finally gave up the instrument and became a writer. Writing is much quieter they told me. I listen to this every morning at least once to get my emotional juices going in high gear. The philosopher Frederick Nietzsche said that life without music would be a mistake. I totally agree.
@cyclingdad1177 "Geeze, This is more about the massive egos on stage than anything else. There was more "screeching" than anything else" You know both nothing and everything about trumpet players. This is what we live for. And it is AWESOME!
Wayne kills them all! His solid, steady, open sound, his safety to hit the tone right in the center, his coolness, phrasing and last but not least his enormous musicality are outstanding!
Today, I was about to fall down... but this song... after many years since I heard it for the very first time... still comes and saves me. Thanks guys. U are like family to me.
