Tbf France was good in ww2. They lost their best men, helped the british, held off the germans for as much as they could and surrendered because Paris would get destroyed if they kept fighting. Also we are forgetting that the Soviets lost milions of men in a few months and resorted to wave attacks. Truth is France actually was competent but if you put Logan Paul against Mike Tyson it's no surprise Mike will win
this isn’t “what if france was competent” this is more like “what if france had a german sized army with tank corps and motorized divisions and used lightning warfare”
Amiens was the main objective, and if it fell there was a good chance a large part of the entente front would have collapsed forcing a French surrender.
You did a very good job with this video Curious, what's the status of Tibet and East Turkestan, are they independent nations outside of China's influence, are they protectorates, or autonomous territories of ROC?
I think that the UK would not have a civil war over political parties. No way would people go to the trenches to fight for the labour Party or lib dems. More than likely it would be between whoever was in power and an insurgent right wing fed up with the direction the country was going in. Also ethnic line's would play a large role in any potential future conflict.
who passed the lgbt stuff? tories. who kept letting imigration happen? tories. the only major right wing thing that happened in england was brexit, which caused england to become slightly poorer, thus providing negative reinforcment. the truth about england is that there is no major right wing revolutionary movment there, so no revolts.
I’ll chime in and say this is more of a “what if Germany was incompetent”, the main strategy for the western front was to outmaneuver and do the unexpected, this is why the Germans only took Paris when they took out most of the allied forces. Here you just have them try a few (large) encirclements and b line to Paris, animation is cool though, also city placement is iffy, mostly strasbourg being in Germany
Tbh, I don't even think the presence of US was need for the counter-attack by 1941-42, the rearmament of the Allies was vastly outpacing the Germans. The german economy would also crash down without the fall of France and the invasion of the East, exporting their debt to the occupied lands and slavery.
If the allies were competent they would’ve defended Czechoslovakia in 1938 and Germany would’ve been fighting a two front war. They also would be fighting against the highly effective Czech tanks rather than using them against the allies.
It technically was, part of it was in Belgium along the Meuse then the Albert Canal. It only was ruined when Belgium declared neutrality, while they'd have been invaded anyway... preventing french troops from being in position in time.
Honestly I almost wish France held their ground in WW2 but to be fair I think it might have led to a war against the Soviets later on and that would be even bloodier
