I'm Janine Patrice and I started this channel to share all the details about my loc journey. When I first got my locs started back in 2018, I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew I wanted to be open about everything I've gone through with my hair as each month passed by.
On this channel, you can find videos on how I take care of my locs, loc tutorials, styling locs, and general updates on my loc journey. I also make lifestyle videos that include topics like skin care, home decor, minimalism, and more.

Great video I just started my comb coils and I’m looking for any advice I can get! Im too impatient for this! Hopefully my love turn out clean like yours 😊
Hi when you got your starter locs did you get a barrel twist ? Or any style i recently got it today today but end up taking the barrels out I was uncomfortable 😣 any tips
yours is the 1st vid to come up when I look up temporary hair color for locs! cannot thank you enough you made this easy work! I’m doing 1/2 my locs for pride
I honestly think that they may! I would definitely proceed with caution. I know others with locs that tried and seemed to be fine with a thorough wash.
4 years later your video is still Helping people like me who jut started their loc journey! I’m only a month and a half in and I was really starting to get worried looking at my baby locs wondering if I had done anything wrong but knowing they look just like yours really brings me peace. Thank you ❤
Hey there,,,,I just got my hair locked yesterday (10/ 08/ 2023) and they are comb coils🤩am happy because now I'll be embarking on a new journey,,, can't wait to see my hair beginning to loc and just look pretty 😍
I started my locs myself thru freeform i did that for 6-7 and a half months with a sponge and finger twist from a buzz cutt 2 days ago i got a retwist to seperate and start maintaining my locs i got comb coils i learned from my last dread journey freeforming then transferring to semifreeform works best for me
I'm on my first week of Noom and I'm so excited to see progress. It's informative but also realistic with how weightloss journeys go not just physically but mentally and emotionally. Starting weight 185lbs, my heaviest ever, and my goal is 125lbs
The only cons I can think of is the time it takes me to retwist my starters rn (4-6 hours ~150 locs I haven’t done a loc count) and after a wash, the inside of the loc being damp when the outside is dry so it can trick me into thinking my hair is dry unless I squeeze each loc lol other than that I am having a great time. I am 2.5 months in. I started on heat damaged hair so I definitely have my own personal issues with my locs looking thin but my roots are healthy soft and thick. I think in a year or two my locs will get to a point where I can trim the thin ends. But honestly the ends look like goddess locs soft and curly so maybe I’ll just keep them 🤣 the pros are too long to fit in this comment. Just know I LOVE them so far lol.
Thank you for verifying my experimental phase lol This is my third seed of loss in 15 years and I kinda am feeling the thicker/freeform/wick styles now…. I have thin hair so we’ll see how the braiding three method goes.
