I never installed one so I'm not sure but my understanding was they are soldered to the main board in the bottom half of the console. Changing the top screen would be the same as the video but you would have some extra connecters in the bottom half to undo.
@@EasyConsoleFixes I see. I definitely will feel I need to have an expert do it, at this point, cause last time I tried repairing something, I needed a new DualShock4. Thank you for telling me, though.
Thank you so much for a straightforward and informative video. I am so pleased that your tip has helped so many people, unfortunately my machine seems far too temperamental. I followed your steps - several times - and I also found another video that suggested taking out a little roller in the contacts compartment. I was giving it one last chance and it worked! Hooray! only to send up the message again after printing two sheets. My waste box is only just over a year old and there was hardly any waste toner in it being a home printer. So frustrating! Many thanks for your sharing though, anyway.
That is a shame, I wonder what is causing it not to work. I have had to do this twice more to the same Toner Box as it got full again and it has worked each time. Some people in the comments have said they needed to turn the printer off after resetting the box to get the message to go away.
Very kind of you to reply. I have been a witching on and off between each try with crossed fingers! I am going to look up how to reset printer. Hopefully find another RU-vidr to show me. 😊
That cant really happen as the braid is inside the plastic post the screw goes into and has no entry way into the rest of the console. I do have another video showing how to use a thin cable tie instead of the braid if the braid coming into contact with components is a concern.
Hi there! Thanks for the great video, but I can't seem to find the part online that you put inside the hinge at 22:28. sorry that I'm so late to this, but if you could help it would be greatly appreciated!
If you search for 2DS XL hinge you should find it. Sometimes adding barrel hinge or shaft hinge helps. I haven't used this place but its an example of what you need. You also see them on eBay, Aliexpress etc kasynparts.com/product/nintendo-new-2ds-xl-shaft-hinge-axle-ring-replacement/
i dropped my phone. the screen came off and it bent a little am i screwed or is there a problem to fix this because i tried your video and it didnt work
hey man, using this technique i was able to finally play the xbox 360 that my dad left behind, he died back in 2015 and i had nearly nothing to remember him by but this is the technique i used to finally go back through his old games and connect with his friends. Thank you
Thanks for the video, I've seen online that a bulging battery can cause this and that it is dangerous to keep using the phone if it is a bulging battery, specifically huawei phones. Have you had any issues with it?
Hi, yes this issue can sometimes be caused by bulging batteries. In that case the battery needs to be replaced. Charging a battery that is bulging can result in a fire.
I was wondering if you could help me with something. I replaced an analog module in my ps2 controller with a new one i got on ebay, but for some reason when i move the stick in any direction and let go the game character starts to drift slightly in the opposite direction e.g. i move forward then let go the character is moving backwards or if i go left then it starts drifting right. I found that moving in the direction of the drift seems to fix this but if i restart the console or unplug the controller and plug it back in the issue starts up again. Any idea of what could be causing it?
I have a video about fixing PS5 controller stick drift. If you watch that video you can see me clean the little metal rings that the stick unit uses to sense which direction the stick is going. Your issue could be caused by that little metal ring being positioned a little wrong inside the stick unit.
Thank you for this video ... I have owned two Brothers printers but had never gotten the error "Replace Toner Waste Box". Of course it popped up late at night when I had a large print job that I needed to complete. I found your video, cleaned it out and reinstalled - the error message was gone. Good tips about the gloves and doing it outside, it was messy.
@@EasyConsoleFixes … I agree, when the error popped up I had never heard of a Toner Waste Box but I was sure it was not going to be free. I will say that mine was full, there was a lot of waste. I thought using an air can on it would be a good idea … not so much. The waste went every where, fortunately I was in my garage and holding it over a large trash can. I dumped it out and gave it a few shakes and put it back.
Hi, my PS2 Slim cd drive spins both ways, is there a fix for this problem? I'm looking for a new motor anyways, but I can't find which one it is, I don't see a type number like which on the laser is written as; PVR-802W. It could be the flexcable of the motor, but it's soldered on the board and that's why I have to look for a whole new motor
Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by the drive spins both ways. The slim uses a few different spindle motors. If you search for the model of console and spindle motor you should see the correct one. Some of the console models the spindle is really easy to change and in some it's difficult so it may be worth checking you have one of the easier ones.
Are you getting any movement from the laser, after the console detects the lid has closed it will try read the disc. If it doesn't detect a disc it wont spin.
Hi, sorry for the late reply. Had you any luck fixing this. The caps definitely shouldn't be making noise. Swapping the power board could be the easiest fix.
@@Ishika007 I did this repair in the video around 9 months ago and the glue is still holding the screen fine. I really wouldn't be happy with that response from the repair shop.
I have cleaned 3 times and it's spotless.the contacts are clean but I still get the "WT toner box ends soon " message. Does this message require a reset somehow other than a power reset.?
Can I just confirm you have the contacts in the closed (touching position) If so here's a link to a video I saw before a printer with your issue which may be worth taking a look at. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BMgpcadRqlA.html
I replaced the laser on my slim about a month ago and I just realized that it reads PSOne games and DVD PS2 games just fine, BUT it won't read blue-backed PS2 games. Any ideas?
@@arturomail I know it's a new laser but most times I change a laser it's because the console is doing what you described. Was the console reading any discs before the laser was changed. You could check the potentiometer on the laser with a multi-meter to make sure it is set to the right resistance.
For a 15 yr old this video made things so much easier and it works now thanks! Only problem is clamping the console back together the hinge in the back won’t tightly close all the way and the battery port isn’t aligned with the shell
It's hard to know without seeing the console but are you sure you installed the hinges correctly when putting the console back together. They are meant to be orientated a certain way.
😮 I was shocked I took my back cover on my Samsung Galaxy A21s and saw my hold screen is lifting out how is it possible did the glue just gave up and melted off
Same phone has my mom and this just happened. We cannot turn the phone off at all, it's just black screen but it's still sometimes vibrating like it's reacting somehow. Will it help if we just glue it down?
@@GiovannaIwishyou Has the whole screen came off the phone. Do you think the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the phone could have got disconnected or damaged. My screen was still working so I knew all it needed was to be glued back down.
@@EasyConsoleFixes Not the whole screen, it still attached at the bottom. But yes I guess the ribbon is maybe even broken. Mom will take it to the technician today so maybe they'll try something. But thank you for your reply! I really appreciate it.
