I think you have to change your rgb and ckny value blah blah that’s how I wish someone would explain digital and traditional to digital I just start seriously using my iPad for drawing with procreate and I fail on so many levels but no need to throw away I just hit delete😢and I’m sorry I’ll stop commenting I just relate so much to what your saying . A lot. Sorry again and thanks so much.
Or I hate my work so I throw it away I’m struggling with this I have for years I have very little art and I’ve done art for 45 years since I can remember and I just turned 50
The quotes page though helps you to actually physically pick that sketchbook up and look inside which gets you closer to drawing. These tricks for yourself will all serve us well thank you!
This is a really underrated video these are very artistic ideas . I feel like most videos out there are geared towards beginner artists. This feels and hits differently and gives wonderful tips we often forget about lol like the ballpoint pen. I hated it in early years it’s all I had to draw with we were poverty stricken like honestly I remember drawing on my moms guest check pads at her 2nd job in kitchen of a Smokey bar listening to the local band play Bob Seagers night moves. While she waited tables for way too little money. I wasn’t allowed out of the kitchen. The owner let me have all the kiddie cocktails and chips and cheese I could fit. I couldn’t 💩 for weeks but they were great memories. My mom recently shared she lost some of those drawings last time she moved. I was touched she had them that long.
Other than the stuff that’s exclusive to the new pencil, like squeeze, I can apply all the new techniques on my 2021 iPad pro with the Apple Pencil 2. Great video!
Absolutely beautiful! Yes, it's easier to blend realistically rather than use impressionistic brushstrokes. I love the look of "unrealistic" colors but have a hard time allowing myself to do so. My brain says "That's not the color!" 🤣 Would love to see a video on how to achieve this look with portraits.
YES!!! 100% agree that making a painting LOOK artistic vs realistic is soooooooooo much harder. But this is how you can tell you have already improved your skill in that so much because what you did here isn’t up to your standards, but to someone like me, it looks PHENOMENAL.
Would love to see studio tours, art supply hauls, notes on art block, “ugly sketchbooks” and all of these beautiful portraits. Been getting into drawing portraits myself lately, found a love for it. Feel like I personally am not super creative so portraits and still life’s, drawing from life has been it for me. It’s been nice. Thanks for sharing. ✨
I adore your art. Seriously, you are my favorite artist to watch and listen to. Your art is super inspirational for me 💖💖 Keep it going!!!! You are so very talented!!
I love paper textures! When you make prints, do you keep the paper texture on the digital file or do you remove the paper texture? I've read that it's not recommended to print your art with the paper texture so I'm wondering about that
hello! i commented on another video asking for a sketchbook recommendation; specifically what is the second sketchbook you show here, the landscape one? it accommodates gouache so beautifully!! btw im in an art rut and have felt blocked and uninspired for a while and its been frustrating! but i happened upon your art and so glad i did! i’m very inspired!! thank you! 😊
