Unreal ring… this IS “the 1990s too me”.. it brings me right back to that feeling of having a car for the first time!.. that freedom of being 16,.. and the world felt SO HUGE and Wide Open “for the taking “… “time will ease the pain somehow .. feel the same somehow! … know one k owns where are secrets go …”
This song takes me back to the summer of 94"..Listening to this album, Jane's Addiction, Soundgarden, Pavement, NIN, Alice in chains and many others. Started hanging with the older kids skateboarding, smoking, drinking living the "teen dream" At the same time trying to figure out who I was, and what life had instore for me. It was a beautiful time!
Interesting how a song like this can take you back to a place in time that has remained inside of you for so many years. And even know you know you can never go back physically, it'll always be a part of you. Without the music, where would my memories be?
I have lost something. I'm not exactly sure what it is but I know I didn't always feel this... sedated. But you know what? It's never too late to get it back.-Lester Burnham-American Beauty🌹
This album captures every emotion of being young again and when you're older listening to this like most of here are, its sometimes our only true link to feeling what being young again feels like....maybe its another album, a different band....but for me its siamese dream and SP.
1993 came and gone like a fart in the wind that was the year was son was born and now he is 31 where oh where does the time go?? You can’t bear Father Time he always wins. This song and album will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart, music just ain’t the same today sorry it’s not.
I was on a life long mission to see the smashing pumpkins my whole life Every time I got the chance to go see them something came up out of no where. Then in 2019 my coworker showed up to work and handed me a ticket and I lost my shit man. I always told her for the past twenty years I've been trying to go and she changed my life forever. This is the first song they played on stage and seeing them live was an experience one can not explain. My first choice will always and forever be smashing pumpkins. Heelllllll yeeeaaaahhhhh
What exactly does it mean when you still have dreams but your rational mind knows that it's too late? "Is a dream a lie if don't come true? Or is it something worse???"
