This channel contains videos of retro and vintages commercials from the 1950's to the 2000's. It has commercials from all types of products and services. My channel is different from other because I have access to the finest video quality. I use high end equipment when possible like studio vcrs and time base correctors. Sit back and relive some nostalgia.

This was my favorite commercial as a child. Even a 7-year old (me) knows how meaningless the 7-2-1 configuration is to anyone who doesn’t have an engineering degree. Delightfully silly.

@ Jay C Your chronology makes more sense, since Billy Martin had been fired by the Yankees and replaced by Bob Lemon in July 1978 after his infamous comment to reporters "One's a born liar; the other's convicted." (The liar being Reggie Jackson, and the convicted being Steinbrenner for his illegal campaign contributions to Nixon.) Of course, the commercial might still have continued to air on TV in August of '78 after Martin's first of many firings from the Yankees. Would the advertiser have pulled it?
@waynej2608
@waynej2608 3 года назад
@@publiushamilton4030 Yes, it did replay and I remember their being several of these Miller Lite spots, back then. I believe Mickey Mantle appeared in one, obviously before he quit drinking. Mantle and Martin were drinking buddies during their playing years. Places like Toots Shors, must've been quite the hang, back in the day. Anyway, it was great seeing this ad again. But, I'm still not a fan of Miller Lite, despite me being a die-hard Yankee's fan and my enjoyment in seeingy these ads, again. I'll have a Guinness, ty very much. 😎👍

@joerules829
@joerules829 3 года назад
Unlike Steinbrenner and Martin you couldn’t have gotten Ryan and Ditka to be that civil to each other for any length of time. Whereas Billy and George were two guys that genuinely liked each other but clashed when their egos got the best of them, Buddy and Mike genuinely hated each other’s guts.
@PhilAndersonOutside
@PhilAndersonOutside 8 месяцев назад
@@joerules829This. It wasn’t until Buddy was literally on his death bed when Ditka spoke to him again, just days before his passing. Even then, I believe Mike was mostly giving well-wishes to Buddy’s kids.
