I want a dedicated intermediate fabrication Caterpillar. A ship that takes damaged but serviceable parts from a Reclaimer or refined mineral stock from an Orion and then turns it into a complex, finished product module suitable for a Crucible repair ships or Pioneer constructor. A flying machine shop so to speak.
Lab module (already confirmed). Small outpost building module. Torpedo/Missile module. Large garage for large ground vehicles (would take 2 slots or 2 modules).

the cat. is one of my Favret ships in the verse 2nd to none i use as carrier with snubs i use for hulling i use for mining like in this video the tractor and the ability to home over 60 pods off the Mole and prospector does wonders as of now i take the wheels off the med URSA and use for Spawning if you can think of what all this ship can do you will have all 3 versions also but love this video i hope they rework this ship to do half what is in this video .. also i keep MOB on bord my ship in case i need to refit a A2 or A1` sky is the limit for this ship
Anyone know how modules will work for someone only wanting to spend the base $45? Will there be an in game buyable option? Or will all ships be barren from in-game purchase from module release on
its a cargo ship at the moment, you can not buy this at the base game price, you buy it for real money or buy it in game with money you earn from doing stuff in-game. as of right now no modules for the cat are in-game.
the pods are much larger than that the ursa isn't that big and neither is a nova, the bridges would be above them at this scale it makes the NOVA and ursa look way bigger than they should be or the carrack way smaller
1 year later and we see it in game. Makes you wonder if they over design these things. Your version is nice and clean, and CIGs has too much crap on the hull. It's almost like it was sculpted by a perfectionist and kept on saying....."one more line" until they took it away from him/her.
Smart design … guns mounted on the fuselage to minimize convergence issues and increase chances your guns remain in the fight, missiles on the wings. Bravo!
Since CGI apparently watches. And since we are now seeing rescue vehicles with talk in the future of fire being a thing in Star citizen. How about an Anvil Atlas chassis based fire trucks one latter one pumper? One of the Atlas’s inspirations the MAN trucks and the Oshkosh HEMTTs both have versions like this. The Rosenbauer Panther for example. The Origin G12 might look good as a police car. Origin being BMW inspired works here as BMW are often used for European patrol cars.
Hello, I'm thrilled to see that you've created a model of the Kraken. I'd like to incorporate the sea monster into mods for other games, but I've noticed that the current ship models lack any textures; they're all white. Could you please sell me the textured Kraken model? I really love it for my spaceship!
Amazing work. Still, every time I see Polaris I can't stop thinking how with the same dev resources they could release 5 other ships instead by now (including Zeus).
