The Crimson Tide Zone was founded in October 19, 2010. The mission of this online community is to provide everyone associated with Alabama sports and the University of Alabama an advanced platform to find and share information, to keep track of what's going on in the world of the University of Alabama's collegiate athletics programs, to network with each other, and to ultimately enjoy the company of other Crimson Tide fans and alumni.
To a huge extent, thank our great defensive coordinator, Brother Oliver, for this win. He had their Heisman winning QB totally confused and Our defense wore them out. The Miami players ran their mouths and acted like they wanted to fight in the French Quarter before the game. A group of Alabama players and Miami players were yakking at each other trading insults. Then an Alabama player said this, “I like your colors, aren’t those girl colors?” I visited with Brother this afternoon.
I was 10 months old in Miami Children's hospital when this game was played. My parents are huge Alabama fans. They might have been the only Bama fans in that hospital LOL.
No, Colt pulled himself out to save ( as it turned out ) His unimpressive NFL Career. Gave up when his team needed him . See him get up and Clap his hands. He wasn't Hurt.
You would be incorrect by a wide margin. I was a fan going all the way back to my childhood during the Gene Stallings era. In fact I went to the 1992 Iron Bowl in Birmingham at the age of 9 with my uncles, father and grandfather. Not that it matters to a troll. Weird comment.
Same. Although I was a fan before this evening. I went to the Iron Bowl this season as a 9 year old child. That was when I truly became a fan. ROLL TIDE!
I remember my dad getting two tickets for this game as a favor for my high school classmate’s father. I had to deliver the tickets. I still remember the build up to this game and I remember the date as well! November 15, 1980! 7-0 Irish over Bama! Those two teams had great defensive units. Offensively, they were just above average.
Sore looser, you must be a Texas god , Mccoy didn't play, the real God took him out, plus he didn't do anything in the NFL, all he wanted was the money
@Valhalla6257 over used excuses. Been there, heard that, that's the excuse everybody uses when they lose,Mccoy wanted the NFL money, was he NFL caliber, answer 🤔 👎
You ever think about those full face gaurds, and those wing tip shoulder pads, and the neck ring gaurds around their necks; well its because that generation was kill, and attack. Unlike this powder puff bullshit they play 2day. Gene Stallings was a Junction Boy
Yes... Colt got knocked out of this game, and perhaps the results of this game would've turned out quite the Opposite if he would've played the whole game... etc, etc. BUT, it was Mack Brown & his Coaching staff's Job to make SURE that the Back-up QB was Prepared and Ready for [''Just in case''] this game, and Obviously... they didn't have him ready. If the table was turned [Bama starting QB gets knocked out of this game], i betcha Saban would've had his back-up ready. So... No [''Colt McCoy didn't play''... etc] excuses....
I just found this video. for the first time ever, I get to show my sons their grandfather playing Alabama football. #81 Mike Ford DE 65-69 passed away before both my sons were born and they have never had the opportunity to see him play. I can't thank you enough for posting these videos
It used to be "if you quit now, you'll be a quitter for the rest of your life," now people business decision away their entire career (Cam Newton etc.)
Ohhhhhhhh shout out too the Defense and Gary Gilbert. And Sherrod Harris, I thought Coach Brown was going too give you a shot because I wanted to see what you could do!!!
Was Colt's injury the sole reason Texas lost here? Absolutely not. The Longhorns' defense just couldn't keep up with Alabama's run game, plus their offense had been anemic for weeks leading up to this game.
Damn that Texas defense was killing bama , idk if bama could have kept up with Texas in scoring with McCoy not getting hurt. That Texas defense was swarming!!
