It worked!!! I had tried about 6 different (and time consuming) trouble shooting suggestions that did not work. This took about 2 minutes and I have water pressure again! Thanks so much for posting!
The one i have leaks when i have water hose on and the water is not actually flowing, the water just shoots all over the place, would this fix that? Great video.
My plumber quoted me $1000 to replace the entire galvanized pipe to my kitchen faucet- said it most likely was a build up in my pipes. How wrong was he! Your tip fixed the slow flow for free! Thank you!
Agreed, no need to turn the water off. Also, the inner plastic piece has a specific orientation, which you neglect to show. That would be helpful considering many of these replacement valves come with zero instructions.
1) removing my old weather strips was a BEAR. Contractor had used some super gripping nails and it was very hard to pull the strip off. 2) I'd recommend using stainless steel nails. My old strips were attached with galvanized nails and they were pretty rusted. 3) Why not paint the wood before installing the new strips?
Can you turn off the water to the whole house instead of sillcock? Dont really want to crawl under the house to get to sillcock. I can turn off water to whole house in front yard
Your pump's inlet PVC fittings are low pressure DWV grade. Weaker stuff, and only to get weaker exposed to UV. Replace with Sch 40 at a minimal. And I could tell, but avoid Teflon tape and opt for a paste. Not a final fix, but a good place to start renovations your set up.
THANK YOU. I installed a new sink today and everything went smoothly, until it didn’t. This solved the problem. You saved me from having to call a plumber.
