Hi Shona, nothing in particular going on, but he is a somewhat nervy horse, so maybe just calming himself. The wonderful thing when horses have free access to aromatics is that it works as preventative medicine :)

I have bought your book and have started using your protocol for my horse's sarcoids. He has one that is an occult sarcoid. Have you had much joy with treating this form of sarcoid with essential oils and clay ?
@EssentialAnimals
@EssentialAnimals 3 года назад
Hi Michelle, for occult sarcoids better to use a water-based gel to carry the essential oils. Preferably using hydrosol as the water. I thought I had a RU-vid explaining how to make a water based gel, but not seeing it at the moment. I will see if I still have it and upload if I find

@@EssentialAnimals How do you think a basic gel (like you basic gel recipe - 50 mls aloe vera gel, 10 mls herbal oil and then a max of 40 drops of essential oils) would go. He also has a Verrucose Sarcoid (warty) and another that is a mixture - warty/occult. Can I use the gel for all these instead of making up separate concoctions? Thanks for your help.
@EssentialAnimals
@EssentialAnimals 3 года назад
@@michellemcphee5517 yes, sure, that would work, best to use just one product and make sure he agrees to the oils you choose

@@EssentialAnimals Hi again, Just another quick question. I have been reading your book and I am getting some concoctions made up based on your book. My question is re equine colic. I know to call the vet but I was not sure exactly what to do for a colic incidence if this comes up. I was thinking of making up a gel (aloe base) that is quite runny and putting in neroli, chamomile, vetiver and lavender in it and then rubbing this into the gut area. Do you suggest anything else? Would smelling chamomile and lavender etc also help. Thanks.

I understand this video was posted some years ago but if you see this message could you please send the ingredients of the clay recipe?
@EssentialAnimals
@EssentialAnimals 4 года назад
Hi Ilka, when I make a clay for sarcoids I use the oils the horse has selected, in this case that was manuka and bergamot if I remember correctly. Add a total of 20 drops essential oil and a tablespoon of calendula macerated oil to 1/4 cup of clay, add hydrosol or water to make a thick paste. use green clay and bentonite for best effect. You will find more recipes and full instructions in my book, www.essentialanimals.com/books-landingpage/

The rubber band cured it not the clay. I’ve cured over 20 using this method. Topical treatments are not effective not even Liverpool cream.
@EssentialAnimals
@EssentialAnimals 4 года назад
I have found that using the clay speeds the process, prevents infection and maggots and helps the skin heal more completely. I have also used clay without the rubber band, and it works.

@@EssentialAnimals Sometimes just putting anything on them including toothpaste can stimulate their immune system to shift them. If topical treatments don't work they are stubborn and unlikely to resolve with the exception of banding which has never failed in my experience. However, most sarcoids are not suitable to be banded and thus persist. I have a mare who has over 50 and we have been treating her for years with both conventional medicine and every herbal treatment under the sun. Nothing shifts them and she spreads them to any horse who grazes with her. Thankfully most horses respond to treatment so we act as soon as they pop up on other animals. A very expensive disease in my experience.
@EssentialAnimals
@EssentialAnimals 4 года назад
@@beforethelawstandsadoorkee7904 Yes it can be very persistent, but I have seen a lot of success in over 20 years of practice using essential oils. But sometimes it does take a year or so to completely clear them. The big bonus with the clay/essential oil treatment seems to be that they don't re-occur. Of course, no medicine is ever 100% and there'll always be the odd one who won't respond to anything unfortunately, and the immune system has to be addressed as well. Did you try essential oils for your old mare?

I used this method of clay pack w/essential oils and some internal, I used Nayanas book and my horse to choose the oils. And got a golf ball sized sarcoid to eventually fall of his body with No rubber bands or any type of band. Nayanas book is wonderful.

CATS SHOULD NEVER INGEST ESSENTIAL OILS!
@EssentialAnimals
@EssentialAnimals 6 лет назад
That's right Melissa, ingesting essential oil can be harmful to cats. That's why we are using a hydrolat (also known as hydrosol) here, which is safe for cats when diluted.

here's a few tips for solving sarcoidosis at home Consider adjusting your Diet - In some cases sarcoidosis has been associated with celiac disease, such as a reaction to certain protein chains commonly referred to as glutens found in cereal grains such as wheat. You could also try different Natural supplements, herbs, and vitamins Also the use of anti-oxidants and natural anti-inflammatory supplements could be of benefit. (I learned these and the reasons they work from Remission Crusher Tactic website )

Dolphinhealingenergy hi, I always adjust the recipes according to what the horse selects. Mix oils into clay then stir in the water /hydrosol until you have a thickish paste

I couldn't understand the name of the herbal oil you used in conjunction with the Bergamot and Manuka - sounded like calengulia? Where would I get this? This demonstration is very helpful as I have a grey with the beginnings of what the vet thinks is a sacrcoid... I was putting Frankincense EO but I am not at the barn but on the weekends so not able to be consistent. Thank you!

Is the clay mixed with the Bergamot and calendula oils? Did you also mix the Manuka (3 drops) with the Calendula oil (5ml)? Thanks!

I once read how essential oils are very dangerous to a cat's life, that they do not mix, is there any truth to this with certain oils or what?
@EssentialAnimals
@EssentialAnimals 8 лет назад
Some essential oils can be dangerous. There is an article on my site that explains the whole thing. It is better to us hydrosols.
@Phoenixred27
@Phoenixred27 6 лет назад
On all my research about essential oil's for cats it is better to use hydrosols . They lack a certain enzyme the name of it is escaping me right now that doesn't allow them to process the essential oil properly. At least from all my reading I've done this is what I've learned. I have also learned to put less oil in A diffuser. So I do about three drops of oil for about 100 mL of water There are noses are much more sensitive than ours. You don't want to diffuse anything that is harsh for example it is recommended to stay away from all citrus oil's, and oils like peppermint and cinnamon.. I don't diffuse in a room that my cat often frequents he sleeps with me at night but otherwise his main space is the living room. Never diffuse in a closed area. My friend cannot use a certain sunblock she uses made out of . around her cat because he reacts to it like catnip. It drives him crazy which usually isn't a good sign when it comes to essential oil's

Thank you for the visual demonstration. On another video you present, I saw how cats responded to oil selection as well, and another video demonstrated the process with a horse. I am wondering if the use of the personal inhalers might be a good idea as well, because opening and/or leaving a bottle open often degrades the oil much faster.
